GPS Antenna help needed please

I am installing an Alpine Nav, my car didnt come with the original Command.
Can I tap into the roof mounted GPS antenna to connect to the Alpine , instead of running the Alpine antenna from scratch? and if so where would the wiring be? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Max

W203 slightly modified
What is the connector on the back of the Alpine unit ?

There is a whole range of adapters on eBay for one type of connector to another.

If you have tele-aid prewired then you already have a lot of GPS wiring in the car.

The roof mounted antenna is for the phone system, not the GPS, you're alpine unit should come with a GPS receiver which is easily hidden in the dash and should work fine.

If you are taking it to a stereo installer, they should know where to put it so its hidden, if you are doing it yourself just test the signal with the gps antenna behind the deck or try to mount it closer to the top of the dash on the inside, worked on my old car.
