Where to order Bilstein Sports?
I checked with shox.com and they said they'd have to be special ordered from Germany and it would take 3 months. The part numbers they gave me for the Sports are 24-100571 and 24-100588. Are those correct? They also quoted me $119ea for them.
It sounds like I've currently got a blown left front shock so the car is just sitting in the garage. I'd rather not have it down for that long.

It wouldn't come up when I searched E55... but here you go.

You should be good, correct part numbers.
Edit: Seems like the link doesn't work. www.tirerack.com when it asks for car info, put in 1999 E430 and the shocks should be there.

I got mine from Shox.com.
No affiliation...
They said 2 and a half months but the shocks came in like 4 months. That's because they have to be special ordered from Bilstein Germany and I believe they're part of a container that Bilstein ships to USA. They probably wait until it's full before they send it. They're not going to send just a package with your shocks. Not at this price anyway...
If you don't want to wait you can get these shocks from different European sites, but the price is in Euro, which comes to much more than Shox.com,plus you have to pay for shipping from Europe.
After doing extensive research I just could not find these shocks in USA. All the other websites I've tried were making confusions on the part number and even sent me the wrong shocks in 2 instances. They will send you the Touring(Comfortable) shocks for the back, that's all they have even though they'll tell you they have the Sports. The only correct part numbers for Bilstein Sports are from Bilstein main website, that come up when you put your make and model.
Good luck!

The car isn't a daily driver anymore so I'm not worried about comfort. It's also dropped 2" all around so it rides kind of ****ty anyways.

Buy the Koni sports from Koni na. Fully adjustable and are on sale till the end of June. I just got my set and rate them better than the Bilstein sports that i had on the car prior to these. Bilstein sports are marginal for every day use and offer no adjustability. With the Konis you can set them full soft for back and forward to work and in a minute you can adjust all four to as hard as you like for track use or just to tailor the handling of the car to your preference. You will have them in a few days. www.koni-na.com

KW's has some too i believe for our application. Forgot the part # but i believe there is a coilover susp. You probably don't need to wait as long. Just give them a call.

Took the car to my roommate's shop today and everything looks fine. We're 95% sure it's a bad shock that's making noise. Everything else on the front looks good or has been replaced within the last 15,000 miles. I just ordered some Bilstein Sports off Tire Rack, so hopefully they send me the right **** and they fit. I really didn't feel like spending $450 right now, but having the car just sit in the garage sucks.

I'm doing all 4. I didn't feel like spending the money on Konis right now. I just moved a couple of weeks ago and that cost me a ****load of money.
