#0280156148 is the Number

How much cc they do ... i dont know. I tried to get information directly from Bosch but they wont give me any because it is a restricted part, no information, no selling ... nothing.

As far as i knew they make 482ml/min ... the original ones make 443ml/min ... so aprox. 10% more.

greetings, Fabian

ML320
Very nice write up on your build. I dropped a m113k engine into my 99 ML320. Its still a work in progress and am running the ME 2.8.1 wiring to the vehicle. I have a quick question on your start signal. How did you overcome that, being that you came from ME 2.0 with DAS2 where the starter signal goes to the ME via analog and the ME 2.8.1 requires a digital signal from the CAN? My workaround will be the analog signal to a separate relay to the starter. I will lose the tip start function though.
I like what you did with the radiator fan. How stable is the temp with the fan without shroud? I like you, lost space and only have about 2 inches between radiator and s/c pulley. I am removing my radiator support and moving the radiator forward more and will be losing the 2 extra aux fans the older w163's come with. The extra room will allow me to fit the later model w163 cooling fan.

Don't mean to steal your thread, I have been following it and am now at a point of my build where I have a few questions.

W210 as of 1999 allways had FBS3 Keylock system, the Starter Signal allways was via CAN over the SAM. The Starterwire is connected to the SAM and from the SAM to the ME. I had no problem with the starter as i switched from ME2.0 to 2.8 and then to 2.8.1. Also my Automatic Start works absolutly fine...

I´ll never came over 95°C with my fan setup, while testdriving i also hat a traffic jam and stand for around 30 Minutes on the highway at 27°C Temepratur, Sun shining and Car running with A/C. No Problems so far. I would not drive to the sahara with this setup but for europe it is absolutly fine

between my Pulley and the Fan is around 2cm space, thats enough ... the pulley never touched the fan motor so far.

greetings, Fabian

can I get trans on my w208 amg to shift like slr/dtm as well? I'm thinking of getting blue solenoids(4?), slr/dtm tcu flash, along with changing rear diff to 3.07/3.06 to match new flash. is this enough or need to do more?

only if you have ME2.8 ECU in your car, with ME2.0 you cant use EGS52 TCU´s ... depends on what modelyear your CLK ist, ME2.8 is used from Modelyear 2001.

2002 CLK55
thanks Fabian, appreciate response! I have 2002 clk55, this should hopefully be able to work.

are blue solenoids the only hardware that needs to be changed to match dtm/slr trans? on software side, can I set my S to slr/dtm sport mode and W to most aggressive/race manual mode? How about rev limiter? will that change?

hi...

In my case S is Standard and W ist M-Mode. CLK-DTM only has this 2 options and they are NOT switch via CAN bus, they are switched via 12V potential on 2 inputs of the EGS!

If you want to use the same software like me you´ll will have a serious problem with your rev limiter, the 55 N/A Engine only revs to 6300rpm, the CLK-DTM shifts at 7000rpm at kick down. Dont know if there is any solution to this.

The Solenoids are the only difference ... but only if you have a 722.643 Transmission, speedshift with 722.636 isnt possible.

hmm I see, I guess even though my car is amg since it was earlier ones it came with only "touch shift" and not speedshift?

i dont know "touchshift" but speedshift wasent present in w208/w210 models. it came with the W203 / W211 / W220 / W215 Models ... all the Engines with Superchargers where the first ones with speedshift. the transmission of the speedshift is different, it is not only software related.

that's disappointing but at least now I know it can shift faster with some work. I need to do more research but it looks like diff between 722.636 amg trans and newer ones are torque converter, Tcu software upgrade, and maybe valve body. Anyone have more info on this? Maybe speedshift is possible with these?
