a few updates...
first of all, my car was on the cover of a famous german tuner magazine...
after that i had a lot to do with my oldtimers and the oldtimer meetings usally take place in summer... but by accident i found a complete sapeli set exactly with the cut outs i needed for my car. so i changed them with the one i upgraded by hand:
last month i started the upgrade of my S/C IC System.
I threw out the small W220 S55 Cooler and replaced it with one from a C32, after that i installed a 2nd CWA50 Pump and a additional cooler from a S400CDI. So now i got 2 Pumps, 3 Intercoolers and WAY cooler IAT!
Here you go:
BEFORE: Old cooling lines
BEFORE: single CWA50 Pump
Old S55 IC

Old setup from the S55, the large one will be still used
all new intercoolers and the small old one from S55
Old vs New

new one in place
whole setup
fits perfectly!

S400CDI Cooler with the control unit for the blower

2nd pump in place, on this pictures without the mounting bracket
Crazy ****, the IAT is ~25° cooler then before!
Next Project ... Quaife LSD!

Yesterday i fitted my brand new Quaife LSD
I bought a Kleemann LSD with 60% lockup but it wont fit my W210 housing so i bit the bullet and sold the kleemann in order to buy a brand new quaife LSD from Birds in UK. Thanks to James Bird, great service, fast delivery!
Yesterday i fitted the quaife into my rear axle...
differntial on the workbench
..
open it up
pull the bearings
quaife vs. stock
puzzle
even more puzzle
heating the crown
fitted and ready to go
..
cleaned housing
measuring the clearence
crosschecking with paint ... all perfect!
new seals
nearly complete
finished!
Wow ... THAT really kind of new car now ... it really drives like it where on rails, really cool!

so i just got a 03 w211 e55 amg and i fell like my tranny is ****ed cuz everytime when driving normal or racing when it shifts from 2rd gear to 3rd the rpm just shoots up for a sec slows the car down, was wondering if anyone knew what this is from or have any experance in it

You might notice that you're in the wrong forum. While there may be a few guys who can answer your question here, the W211 AMG forum is where you want to be.

OP - I love the way your exhaust tips are positioned in the rear of the car, with a slight cutout you made to the bumper to fit them. Can I ask how you went about bending the exhaust tips in that way? Car is beautiful.

The complete Exhaust was build by a company directly for my car. the tips came from my old stock Eisenmann Muffler, i kept them because the fit the w210 very nice

Got a slightly nice update. New Camshafts und a "better" supercharger
And i had to repair my 30.000km "old" rear axle links :/ ... dont buy cheap 3rd party stuff guys ...

And here are also some pics of the supercharger upgrade. i removed the "old" Supercharger with Partnumber #0280 at the end agains the newer one with #0580 ... i now gain 0.11bar more, 1.1bar vs. 0.99bar with the old one.

Depends on the modelyear.
the chargers ending with part number 0580 and 0080 are nearly 5% faster then the ones with 0280 number.

I haven't been in this forum for sometime....but I notice in some of your pictures of the engine, you have your headers wrap? Are they wrap? I have been tinkering with the idea of wrapping my headers but others told me not to because they might crack if they get too hot. What are your opinion on this, if you don't mind me asking.
