great!
Just take a look on it, the EGS51 has ... suprise ... EGS51 printed on it. If you have a stardiagnosis you can check as well, EGS51 is HHT, EGS52 ist DAS based interface. EGS51 mostly begins with 026 part number, EGS52 with 030.
Thanks for the offer but my paddles are also hard wired with a combination of a W210 and a W220 clock spring

greetings, Fabian
Thanks for the fast reply. Can you give me more details of what parts i meed for the brake booster swap? I have the 6 piston fronts and my pedal is a bit spongy.

Thank you very much for the info. So you just changed the booster and regulator? Or did you change the ABS pump too? Also any cutting or fabrication required other than bending the metal hoses? Or is it direct plug and play for the booster and regulator.

ABS Block can stay in place, no need for changing that.

I first used the stock Lines but these are 5mm ... i then switched to the bigger 6mm Lines from Brakebooster to ABS Block ... but that made no difference to me.

Thank you so much. I just bought the booster and master cylinder today so hopefully this weekend if time allows I will do this job. I am running the 6 piston clk black series calipers upfront and the rears are stock single piston CLK430s I hope this doesn't create an issue. so the booster just sat in place of your original 430 booster without any modifications?

Youll need to bend the brakelines, anything else should fit. There are 2 different mountings for the brake pedal but the W220 allways had the large one, so maybe you´ll need the large bolt if your w210 has the small mounting on the pedal.

In my case anything fits but i´ve seen both brake boosters in w210 allready... with the small and the large mounting for the pedal

greetings, Fabian

Fabian is correct about brake lines, some of them should to be bend,

I'm not positively sure about W208, booster fit in W202 but need to hammering the fire wall (under M/C wall area), cause Diaphragm not set properly,,

i think W208 sharing the same W202 bay-room, but can't confirm that..!?!

hmhm ... in W210 the booster fits plug ´n play except the brakelines.

i dont know if it works well with 2 piston rear brakes and 6 piston front brakes ...

I have an early production 00' w210 e55. It's ME 2.0 as I don't have the MPH on the digital read out. Would the w220 brake combo not work? I know mechanically it will but electronically there's a roadblock. Only thing I can think of is that there is a pressure sensor setting off the lights. I was about to buy one until I saw it didn't work on the 202 c55.

I'm sure there's a work around. The sponge pedal is annoying.

It is the Pressuresensor INSIDE the brakebooster that makes trouble, dont know WHY or WHAT you can do to make this work on the old ESP Control Unit Sorry...

Ok I haven't seen both units outside the car, but I have 2 questions.

1. Would the 210 booster work with the 220 MC? 2. Or would it not create enough pressure?

And lastly, someone has to re-manufacture boosters, if I took them both I wonder if they could swap in the internal pressure sensors. I also wonder if the new pressure would read too high for the operating range of the sensor. Or it could just be a pedal sensor to see how far in it's pushed. If it is just a pedal sensor incompatibility issue, it could be an easy fix if we swap them. Will research

Fabien, there are two electric plugs on the w220 booster, did you swap those two sensors to your w210 or you just used the same ones that came on th w220 booster and just plug the wires into them? mine is a ME2.8 clk55 do you think I will run into a problem or you think I should be fine. I checeked the booster and master cylinder for the w220, all the w220s 430, 500, 55 and the CLS are all the same. I purchased one complete in excellent shape for $50.

thank you very much, so i will leave the sensors that came with the w220 booster and just plug in the wires into them.

also i currently have the same front 6 piston calipers as you but my rears are the original single pistons as i havent been able to source the SLK/CLK55 rear calipers yet. would i run into any problems if i install the w220 booster with my current setup? or would it put too much pressure on my rear calipers? thanks again.
