I bought it... Excited to see where this goes and already on the hunt for some rare OEM+ goodies to add. I hunted around for awhile to find a classic euro muscle car to add to the stable and am looking forward to having some fun. She needs a full detail and a few pieces here and there including new headlights to make her top notch again. Trying to find quality headlights seems to be a bit of a quest along with really any parts.

Looking for rare parts for a rare bird... It's a 2001 and in my quick research, I'm thinking Renntech performance parts and as it's a complete base model I would like to get some OEM upgraded parts like the dash for the nav to put an Apple car play unit in it to modernize her just a bit. I'm open to suggestions, but mainly looking for OEM+ and name brand period correct upgrades... It really needs some new headlights as the passenger side has a crack on one of the mounts, but looking for glass lenses and the aftermarket ones seem to look cheesy and I'm not a fan of buying ebay parts.

ahh I see. Well have fun paying for renntech stuff that doesn’t work.

You should buy the super sprint headers! Don’t waste your money on renntech or kleemann headers.

Also get a Eurocharged tune. This one decent brand for headlights that are aftermarket.

Today I had Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires installed, getting rid of the crappy Dunlop’s. Holy great tire! Smoother, quieter and they look great! Not cheap but I’ll have no other brand on my cars.

Pirelli P Zero tires installed, 12v adapter reconnected and full detail finished by some F11. If you have never used F11 check it out. Has been great for our cars. www.topcoat.store

I am not affiliated with F11. Just happy with the results.

Test fit rear monos on the front with a 245/40/18 and a 5mm spacer. Its a tight fit but there is no rubbing.

Looks good!

I hope mine fit without rubbing I have 8.5", ET 32, 235/35 with no spacer that I plan to lower on Bilstein and Vogtlands in the next week.

By the way, did you use front camber bolts on your car or adjustable rear links? Are you within alignment tolerance if you didn't?

the w211 wheels I run are et38 18x8.5 with 245 40 18s, they are a tight fit without a spacer so I run a 5mm in the fronts. At et 32 a 245 might work.

I am using camber bolts in the front, nothing in the back. I got it aligned at the dealer about a years ago. It took them 3 days to get it done. I have been meaning to build some adjustable rear links like these

I had 245/40/18 ET 35 at one point and rubbed the knuckle bolt. I hope it does work, I don't really want to run a spacer.

So you were able to get the fronts aligned within specs with just camber bolts? No caster bolts? Aren't there 2 of each? How far off are you out back?

Definitely getting a set of adjustables. I am out of spec on my rear right from my last alignment. Maybe I'll replace arm bushings to help.

Wheels, brakes

Ordered lug bolts and spacers yesterday. Should be here later this week.

Got my wheels(Xmas bonus) and tires mounted and balanced.

Also got these CLK63 front rotors as a gift, from my bosses. These are for my E63 calipers.

I had to get one of my w211 wheels repaired again. This is the second one I have had crack. I ordered new tires for my monos so they will be going back on soon.

The car is under the knife today, getting the x pipe installed and secondary cats+resonator deleted. I can't wait to pick it up! I put new Continental DWS 06 on the rear and refinished the wheels. Have to do the front and install my spring pads and get new Bilstein sport shocks.

yea I believe there are all the same. 2003 to 2006 sl, e and cls rear calipers. You just need a sleeve to insert into the caliper bracket hole to keep it snug on the bolt.
