Flat Hood Emblem
I just got a flathood emblem, it's plastic
, cheaply made but looks cool. I was about to install it but it didn't come with a rubber gasket. Any suggestions? I don't want to chip my paint in the long run. Thanks!

Got it on ebay. I even called Autowerksdirect.com to see if they have a better one and they said their emblem is made of plastic and does not come with a rubber ring/gasket.

All flat hood ornaments are made of plastic. They actually come from MB with part number A6388170116. Then they are repackaged by companies like Schatz (the most popular company in this product line) with their version of a mounting hardware.

mdonati@interserv.comGood luck. A few months back I heard this person was not returning e-mails.
When I ordered from him using PayPal in Sept 04 I had the emblem at my door 2 days later.
