Need advice on getting a new/used E55

Dear all, I would really like to get an e55 and join this forum, I live in LA and currently I am thinking about getting an 04 capri blue e55 with 12k miles and basically every option on the car or a 05 e55. Can anyone please advise me on how much out the door is a fair price on these cars.

Im thinking low to mid 70K would be a nice figure. remember that the 2004 also has the free maintainance, old style console (very comfy). It just doesnt have the newer steering rack.

Out the door with taxes and all (assuming you have no trade-in), I'd say high-70s. Purchase price would be ideally in low to mid 70's. From the info I've gathered, dealers are still paying low-mid 70s for low-mile 2004's and asking for high-70s, low-80s.

2004 E55
Birdx3, I'm in the process of trading in my 04 E55 in mid-April. It's Silver/Charcoal with the following options:

1) Bi-Xnon
2) Command
3) Ventilated Seats
4) In dash 6 CD changer
5) Power rear sunshade

Also, just changed out all 4 tires to PS2, tinted windows all around, and added Lorinser spoiler on rear deck. I have 22k freeway miles, and live in Manhattan Beach. Let me know if you are interested.

Thank you all for the advice, I actually went to the dealer and they were trying to charge me $78k for that 04 E55.. yikes. I guess I will keep looking cause after I test drove that thing I have totally fell in love with it. Thanks for the offer changer, but I only like dark colors such as black n blue. Thanks! If I have new updates I will let you know....

also I found out from the dealer that clk55 will be discontinued in 06.... and they are offering 05 clk55's with nav, keyless, x-lights for $70k plus tax/lic... pretty good deal?

The E55 is a superior vehicle to the CLK55. Even if it's a good deal, I'd still pick up a pre-owned E55 before a new CLK55.

clk is far more "fun to drive" but not as "much car" for your money.

take your pick. The 05 CLK is really a great car. Love the brakes!

The car I test-drove when I ordered my 06 E55 was an 05 E55 - I was a little surprised because it still had the "old" console but they already changed the A/C on the dashboard - didn't check the pedals though...

Pedals are metal. I just drove home a new 2005 Flint Grey E55 tonight... Not sure what you mean by old console... The Comand for 2005 is new no?

I mean the center console between the front seats. As previously stated, it was re-designed in MY05.
