I actually heard the wider wheels in the rear get better traction then the narrow ones which explains the reason why most drag racing cars use wide rear wheels.

overall diameter of the wheels w/the tires you had on were too large,that is why the car felt slower and reason ride wasn't that bad.made the 2.65 highway ratio even taller.proper fitment for 20' on w211 is 245/30 and 285/25.
