Fake M5 slips....
if you zoom in you can see where numbers were copied and pasted.... even more obvious is that folds on the timeslips are exaclty the same! I didn't pick up on it at first, but now it's so easy to spot.... some pixels might not be exact because the images were saved down as JPG's over again, and the re-compression can cause things to change....
I think we need video of an M5 running, that's quite a bit more difficult to fake....

Will have video next week when I go up with a buddy who just enabled his LC with 1200 miles on his new M5.
This stuff just blows me away! Are M5 owners that desperate
This could not have been from an actual M5 owner. The fake time slips are to obvious.Trending Topics
This is just hilarious!!! As stated, if a chop, and it looks to be 99.8% so, this guy spent some serious time modifying the slip!!!
I am thoroughly surprised we havent been swarmed by trolls defending this slip yet!
Just adds the the mystery...

Incredible sleuthing!!
As I said before, if DerekFSU can't get that time with launch control off...noone can!
Perhaps Bimmers guys are easier to slip things by, but I have learned through trial and error that putting things past MB guys is like debating with Socrates.

This goes to show you that Dragtimes are not the way to find out true speeds..I would have to see Video before I am a convenced. Anyone can put someone elses time slip or doctor it.

I don't know how much time your spent on this but your right! I just went into Dragtimes.com and seached for 1/8 times @ 101mph. Someone on the board "E55 Baller" said something about a SUPRA, so I started there. After looking at this photo for a few Min with it reduced to my left and looking at slips....this is what I found. So,,,,E55 Baller, did you do it? How did you know it was a supra? Don't hate for me asking...

Creases match in my opinion. Time spent, 5 minutes on project, sorry Fiske.

in addition, when you have many slips to look at, fakes and anomalies are pretty clear and weeded out... the M5 is so new, that it will take a while to get an idea of what the car is capable of....
obviously not "anyone can doctor a slip".....

I would agree. Are the tracks nice down in Miami? Have you seen any M5's?
I would never fake a timeslip...the one you uncovered does look like the crease however...very creepy.
I mentioned the Supra because I had one and once ran 12.5@135...the big joke about Supras is...what does a BPU (400rwhp) have in common with a APU (700rwhp++)....they both run 12s.
In any event I find it sad that the M5 folks are this desperate. I can't wait to spank one with all the HP and TQ I have.

Please - let us not make generalizations that "the M guys" were behind this. I am sure that those guys find this sort of crap pathetic, too. I don't believe that this was posted to try to fool anyone. The mistake (and forgery) was so obvious that it took us no time to figure it out. So someone is playing games. Maybe Fiske can figure out who it is. But we need to be careful about casting blame on any individual(s), let alone a whole class of car enthusiasts.
If someone posted a fake E55 slip, I would be pissed off about it.

I am not so sure it was a M5 person. I would say it is somone that wanted to stir up the pot and doesn't even own an M5. Lets let this go, so the pot isn't stired up to give the guy a laugh that we are still talking about his 20 hours in doctoring the slip. POST CLOSED...

yes sir, I have not taken my car to the track yet, that is why I was asking about your track. I don't have any video equipment that would be able to show on the internet. "8mm" only. So if you have a camera, I might think about meeting up with you. As you have read my posts, I just like cars and don't lean 1 way or the other, I just speak facts. My LC works up to 1,800 as I tested in my driveway. I had a friend up north named Mike Horak that runs a dragway 42, it is weird that the guys name on DRAGTIMES is Mike Horakk. I had not talked to this guy in a year or so, but he has a Z06 not an M5 anyway. My brother uses my M5floyd to talk as well.

Indeed, most guys on this board who care about 1/4 times mod their cars and not photoshop their track spils.
Just to be fair, whoever FAKED the M5 slip may not own one does not plan to own one and just in it fir the "troll" factor. It does not neseeearily reflect badly on hte car or its true owners.
