Where are you guys mounting your V1 detector?

Yes. Most of the time I run the wire down the A pillar and to the cigarette lighter. One car, I tapped into a wire in the OHC. It might have been Homelink or Sunroof.

Did mine to the left of the mirror using the suction mount. Hardwired down the A frame (drivers side) thru the firewall (easy to use a fish tape or coat hanger to follow an existing wire bundle thru a grommet in the firewall)to a ignition switch controlled hot wire in the under hood fuse box (no easy access ignition controlled wires in the dashboard side mount fuse box area), used an in line auxillary fuse for just the Valentine. That way you can always leave it turned on to the correct volume setting, and it will turn on/off with the ignition.
Very unobstusive mount, good detection front and rear, easy to see and hear, no problems with the suction mount for over a year now, and when they do wear out, easy replacement from Valentine.

This is not $$$$$$ but the best install if you are looking for something is integrated and stealth. I also have the K40 jammer in my grille that feeds into the display and makes the top arrow light with a different sound when jamming.

I am constantly switching cars, so I use the suction cup mount on the windshield. I usually have it about 18 inches up from the dash in the center just high enough for the rear facing antenna to "see" out the back window. I know a lot of people recommend having it mounted as high as possible so it "sees" further down the road, but the V1 gives plenty of advance warning for me in most situations where I mount it. Usually, if you get a full blast of instant-on or the new POP it's too late anyways...I NEVER leave it mounted when I'm not in the car unless it's in my garage for obvious reasons. Unless you have a stealth install (in ashtray or mirror etched) TAKE IT WITH YOU.
P.S If a cop pulls you for "speeding" & sees it mounted anywhere, you are guaranteed a ticket. The lower it is mounted, the easier it is to grab it and stash it without the cop seeing it. There's a pretty small window of opportunity to do this once you get lit up. Hope this helps.

I am also constantly changing cars and happen to live in like 1 of 2-3 states where detectors are illegal. So no wire options, suction cups here.
I just literally wedge it between the passenger headrest
...downside is i can't see what direction the signal is coming from but I just slow down anyways. I have a good tint too and have dimmed the light so its not really visible from outside the car....been running like this in ALL cars for about 5+ years.
