Thumbs up Kleemann K1 and Eisenmann exhuast

Newbie here wondering what a good price for a K1 kit + installation is. Also looking for an Eisenmann race exhaust. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go with the RPM Racing Cutout package. $1500 installed. THe car will sound stock when you want it to and it will roar when you want it to with the flip of an electronic switch in ...mine is mounted in the ash tray.

Thanks Isaac! It certainly is a versatile mod, being that you change the sound level in seconds. Where are you located? If you're in the Tri-State area we can definatly set you up no problem.

So the RPM "cutout" system is similar to the valvetronic system by KREISIEG? This meaning you can adjust the valve in the piping to either route the exhaust through the cats and such or make it a "straight through" design?

Yes, it is an electronic valve - like a throttle plate - that is put into the exhaust system. It can be placed anywhere - before or after cat, resonator or mufflers. When placed properly it will bypass almost all exhaust to atmosphere. Shown below are two examples of cut-outs we did on MB's:

The First one is on the last SL500 we did a Kleemann Kompressor kit and headers on. This is a simpler and :louder: design.

The second one is on Saber's E55. This design was much more labor intensive and intricate. It however looks completely stock from behind and all the exhaust still exits through the tips. It is also a little quieter than the SL setup.

This is a mod I might consider. I like stealthy mods.

I'm actually in the middle of thinkin of switchin exhausts. I have taken out my resonators and went with a borla race muffler. This doesn't seem like a bad idea at all...

Erik, do you guys sell the exhaust system parts for remote installations or just if you do the installation? Neat idea, especially on a car that most people wouldn't want to be loud all the time.

BTW, your website looks great, but you need to have your webmaster edit your description of the K1 package. It says it contains a smaller crank pulley (as you undoubtedly know, it's larger) and increases boost by 4-6 psi (I think Kleemann says 2 psi?).

Thanks for all the compliments guys - it really is a great mod because of the versatility. You can take the car to a wedding and have it as quiet as stock and then race a new M5 on the way home and have a wide open exhaust. Sounds great too! The parts could be "mail-ordered", you would just have to have someone that is pretty skilled at fabrication do the install. Shoot me an email and I can give you more info.

BTW - for those that are planning on comming tommorow, the car pictured above (the first one - short pipes) will be there, as well as a small display we made showing the valves.

I know about the website - our web guy is comming today. He has A LOT of work to do - the whole site is being revamped.

My set up is a little different. Its like Saber's but louder and still stealthy unless some looks UNDER the car.

My Brabus Exhaust sounds amazing! I wish I had a good way of recording the sound cleanly to put a clip on here, but I don't. It's expensive, but niiiice!
