Retrofit of new gearshift paddle possible on E55 (211) ?
Anyone know whether we can retrofit the new SL55 or SL65 shift paddles in exchange for our clumsy buttons ?

It is the same hole in the back of the steering wheel - so these flaps will fit as well HOWEVER there is a difference in gearhift buttons electronics throughout the years (2003 gear shift buttons are not compatible with 2005 cars and vice versa for example)...

Well, I know for sure the "NEW" Brabus wheel has these paddles on their E55/CLS wheel.. spendy though... but Brabus is spendy anyways.... I would to upgrade my wheel a bit cheaper though...

One of my former cars was a Maserati cambiocorsa and the paddles were 1000% better than the buttons we have. Count me in for a 2004. If the electronics are a problem, maybe the paddles can be attached on top of the buttons. Just my 2cents
