Looks like all had a great time...here are the first time slips. M5's ran 12.4's at 118 all night! Still bad 2.0+ 60 footers. Thats a fast MPH.
Someone put up the VIDS!

Weren't you the guy with the neighbor's kid stealing your internet service and posting fake M5 slips? Has he been brought to justice, yet?

That's about 3 1/2 cars. Pretty close.
Does anyone know if there is a delay between the time you release the lever in an M5 (using launch control) and the time the car actually starts to roll? In most cars, assuming we care about whether we beat the car next to us, we wait for the last yellow and go in anticipation of the green light. An M5 may have to be launched a bit sooner to get a decent reaction time. Just speculating here. Any ideas?

heh, no kidding.... I was hotlapping the car for 10 runs after the 12.07, trying to get the elusive 11.99 run.... ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
there was a VERY fine line between getting my old conti's to hook out of the hole, or totally spinning out.... I pretty much had to slowly get on the gas, no powerbraking at all, as the back squatted down, I hammered it....
of course, I didn't think to deep stage the car..... I always shallow stage.... If I had deep staged, that could have been 12.03.....
so close! I think I can do it with a new set of PS2's......
either way, I'm very happy, my best MPH run was 12.1 @ 116.93

My best run was a 12.24 @ 114.67, my best 60' was 1.83. I made 16 runs down the strip we had a great time and it was well worth it. I've decided that either my driving skills are lacking or my car is a slug. I ran very consistent 1.89 60 ft's and 12.33 @ 113.5 run after run after run. Oh did I mention I was running on brand new DR's? My car was obviously not broken in hard.
I ran with the 20's on the front but so did Albert and it didn't seem to slow him down much.
The DR's are absolutely awesome! From the first run to the last they hook up perfectly no slip at all, I highly recommend them. On a stock car they completely eliminate any issues with traction, and they seem to have held up pretty well not much of a loss of tread.
The car is due for service soon so hopefully they can find something wrong with it to explain my low trap speeds, but who knows.
If the guys that were there can pm me with their email address I have videos of some of you (Fikse & PTE) and I'll email them to you, I don't have the patience for editing and posting.
Lets do it again before it gets to warm!

thanks for coming out, and for the offer to run your tires.... I would put your stock front wheels/tires on the next time you go out..... be interesting if you could run with the 20s up front, then put the 18s on.... I really think it's worth 1 MPH.... if so, your best MPH would have been 115.67 which is great...
also have to consider if the diameter on your drag radials is different from the stock rear wheel/tire combo.... if so, that changes the gearing slightly, which could also account for trap speed changes....

I'd like to believe that but how do you explain the fact that you completely smoked me on stock contis? and I had no traction problems.

yea, that's what I thought also, which is why I always staged shallow, I try and stop as soon as the 2nd staging lights come on....
but 3 people there, and the track manager were telling me to pull as far forward as possible, justifying like you have a 6 inch headstart....
