Sold Twin Turbo Vette, bought 03 E55 - Love it !!!
I used to participate in DE events (Driver's Education) until my brother rolled his Mini and broke several bones and almost killed himself this last year. I took the clue and sold the vette before it was my turn to hit a concrete retaining wall.
Always admired the E55 so I went looking in the greater Houston area for a 03/04 with less than 30K miles and under 60K and finally found one in Phoenix at Forman Motorsports. Drove back from Phoenix to Houston in 1 1/2 days and got a ticket for 100mph about 85 miles east of Ft.Stockton Texas, I had been cruising at 125mph just minutes earlier.....
I have been reading alot of posts in this forum the last few weeks coming up to speed on the E55, it's been very interesting.
Can anyone suggest a Kleeman/Renntech authorized dealer in the greater Houston area? I am looking at starting with a ECU/pulley combo first.....
Yes - I am a recovering mod-a-holic and that's my story.
Thanks
Jason

I too just bought a E55 AMG. Ships out next week.
So you paid less than 60k? Good deal.

mb of sugarland will do the renntech kit for you...about $5k...or you can go to mti and jayson will install an asp pulley for $1k...they both make about the same amount of hp...
get the new ride out to the track and baseline it while the weather is still good!

I was looking at the RPM Racing Kleeman K1 option to start with and let Jayson put on the pulley. Assume the same belt can be used?
PM me, I would like to go to HRP - never been. You'll have to show me the ropes..

I'm guessing that 100K warranty is worth $3000 or so......

I have meet Kurt a several occasions, seems like a good guy. I know he is also involved in the Audi and Porsche crowds. I have not had him/the shop do any work on my car.

Sorry, I don't have an E55, but I've been meaning to get out to HRP soon. Let me know when you'll be out there...I'll try to join you.

Haha. Congrats on the car!!
OT- what is a museum delivery on the vette? No disrespect, but its just a vette.
"Just a vette," huh? Have you not been keeping up with the news? The Z06 is one of the most capable sports cars ever produced, and will run right with an SLR....all for the price of a well equipped E500.
