I just had Road Scholars from the east coast bring my 04 to me here in Chicago...cost me 800 bucks from Baltimore to Chicago. Good outfit. I have used Intercity Lines a bunch of times and they are one of the best. Diesel fuel prices have caused these prices to rise. Most companies charge a fuel surcharge now. Go with a tope shelf transporter. Stay as far away from DAS shippers as you can. They suck IMO.

Intercity Lines is the best in the business IMO. I have used them at least 10 times with no problems. They are also the official shipping company for the Carrera GT.

Why no DAS? Ive used them before and transport was seamless. Have you had problems with them? If so I'll make sure to use someone else next time.

Duane is right ! Use Intercity !
DAS was crap ! I paid for door to door service...enclosed. They were recommended by the seller of the car in Oklahoma. He brought it to one of their pick up "centers" in Oklahoma which threw a red flag up immediately but I figured I would wait and see. Apparently the car sat outside in the rain and dirt until the transporter picked it up...a week later than promised. They brought the car to Georgia, offloaded it and it sat at one of their "centers" for another day until another transporter picked it up. When I called for an update and found out it was sitting again I complained and they basically said I could go pick it up if I didn't like it. From there it came to Chicago to another of their "centers" and was dropped off. This was the best one....it came to my house on a flatbed full of mud and dirt....so I will NEVER use them or recommend them to anyone. When I called and *****ed again they just said that was their door to door service...I never got an answer as to why the transporter didn't just load it in Ok. and bring it to my house...guess they just broker the whole trip to whoever they can broker it to. Do yourself a HUGE favor and go with Intercity , Passport or Road Scholars..or one of the other dedicated high line car transporters who know what they are doing and do it professionally. Intercity even covers the car if its underneath....safe,secure,impressive and excellent customer service.

I've used InterCity Lines a total of three times. They are the only carrier I would use. IMO, best in the business and competitively priced.

I heard that Fedex uses DAS??? I have heard horror stories with DAS.

WTF!! i don't know why Gary Almond quoted you such a high price for transport. when i had my car shipped his quote was around $400 cheaper than intercity or fed-ex enclosed transports.

he sure did, ill email him and tell him what others were quoting. the thing i liked about his service was he said he was flexible with his dates. I do like that, but is quite a bit more. How should i go about asking him.?
