$100 prepaid AE card from benz
Hi,
I just received my $100 prepaid card from benz 2 weeks ago. In the letter it said something like "we are sorry that you have to bring your car for the recall and we have attached a $100 prepaid card." I havent' seen anyone post any info on this so I thought I would start a thread and I know it's about the 2nd air pump recall that every1 is scared off(stated in the letter). I have a 2003 SL55, i think this prepaid card is MB's way of saying we are sorry that we detune your car but this is how we going to make it up to you. $100 is not enuf for my "Neutured" 55 engine like the other thread. $100 is not enuf to cover my cost of redynoing the car plus sending my ECU back to kleemann for the "load limit" assocaited with the recall.

Just spoke with MB Customer Service North America. They claim its for a recall on the SBC braking system. If you have had the service done, they review the report from the dealer to determine if you are eligible for the gift card. Seems like BS to me, but MB cutomer service can tell you if you are eligible at 800.222.0100 with your VIN!
