The difference is in the 60ft too..
The E63 got a pretty decent launch of 2.0 where the M5 didn't do too well with a 2.33..

With a 2.0 60ft, the M5 should be running 12.50s no problem... thats a fast trap speed too..

Classy post. Good luck with the 63. Though it didn't work out for me, I'm sure they are wonderful cars.

Your run was not bad, That is the point of the re-hash. The N/A motor is crippled by many things but mainly humidity and heat. A person such as yourself [B](professional driver) should of more clearly pointed the conditions out. Plenty of E55's in the heat have run similar times, it is ridiculous to ignore the plethora of poor E55 passes and then to fail to acknowledge the 11.95 from the 63

the 63 does not need luck it needs seat time.


Seems you guys never owned up to all your baseless claims once the wall came crumbling down.

How about " ***K , nice to see the 63's hitting those times" that would have been cool

This needed to be revisited as we now have more than one pass in a 63.
The origin of the 63 is slow resides in this thread. It is irresponsible to allow it to fester when so many E63's are hitting 12.40's and below

If you take out all the multiple entry's on dragtimes that pass would be somewhere around 21.

Derek:My apologies if you find my post classless, but I have been trying to repair the damage your run caused for 2 years. May of 2007 we started the quest to match the 55 numbers, it will be done and it will happen this year. A 63 will soon top the list , ENZOM has been on top too long.

Wayne is keeping the 63 at bay with his tremendous runs, but nothing can stop the momentum, top end is opening up as the 63's accumulate miles, its just a matter of time.

we havent swung at each other in a bit so i thought id give you a light jab to wake you up. You know first hand how much respect I have for you, your car and your drag racing efforts as we have spent MUCH time in PM's and emails discussing it. If i havent said it publicly, your a huge asset to the 63's and to drag racing benzes in general brother.

oy vey Josh you have proven it brother, its in the numbers you have laid down, pulling up a post from 2 years ago that no one remembers drags you back down, youre above this, i guess thats the point i was trying to make in the beginning

Heads up is were it's at brother, Enzom vs Wayne at Mir best of five. I also think both cars should be inspected by several members there to ensure we have an established definition of stock.

I actually think the thread needed an update and maybe even a conclusion. Many guests will search these forums, reading threads that are a few years old and accept it as a general judgment or classification in this case for the E63. However, now after almost two years of exposure, the E63 is seeing more track time (although still miniature compared to the E55), and showing a more representative picture.

The E55 is still King in the east coast with fastest time of 11.77 @ 118.x vs the E63's 11.95 @ 118.x. Unless we can somehow get a ZERO or NEGATIVE DA track with good prep here on the west coast, the E55 numbers will hold for a long time.

Thanks for the kind words, Albert - I'm hugely flattered to be in such company.

Unfortunately......I'm no longer stock. I was going to surprise a couple of people at the May 17 drag day, but the cat's out of the bag now. LET Stage 1, with Stage 2 coming next week.

i thought we were moving in a positive direction, i guess not. There is one major post and you think when people search they will use this as the holy grail of the 63 failure There have been multiple posts of fast times putting Dereks numbers to shame, and your one big black eye from 2 years ago you feel a need to defend to save the face of the 63 motor, im speechless.......
