For Sale: 2007 E63
That aside, I do agree there are some crappy dealers in FL like anywhere else....
Braman is a fine example.

For those that are really concerned, can just get themselves a 600 level car for $145k+.
If the numbers are soft, I'm sure it will have more to do with what's going on in the world than the cars not being "fast" enough.

The SL55 did not get a 6.3L motor for a good reason so I hope MB does something to make those W221 cars move.
Is it true that M5's are running 13's? I keep seeing car mags saying low low 12's for M5's and M6's at some crazy high trap speeds.
I hope its Dereks car at fault here not the whole series.
To Derek I understand you are frustrated. Sorry for the bickering. If that were my new 6.3L W211 I would likely be livid as well. I think my orders for new AMG's will be put on hold until this gets sorted out. Ill keep the 2 55k cars for now.
Here are a list of articles on some of the new 6.3L cars and 5.5L cars modded:

a 108MPH trap speed with a decent 2.0x 60' from Derek pretty much shows that something is wrong..... unless the E63 gained a bunch of weight over the E55.....
if anyone in south florida wants to run up to Moroso with their E63, I'll meet you up there.... we need a few more runs...

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
The Z06, best bang for the buck sports car ever.....that explains the demand. To that car's credit though, plenty of people have bought them at MSRP (both for 06 and now 07).
The GT500......I have no idea why people are spending $15k+ over sticker for that car.
People are paying over for the Z06, but there many buyers who got their cars for MSRP both for the 06 model year and just recently the 07 model year.

my cousin got a ml63 last night (he was at the dealership until 1am).
i drove it today (it has 135+mi on it) and it is at least as fast as my clk55. i know my car is as fast as its supposed to be b/c ive ran it against others (m3, evo, 911..) and at the track. my car is definitely a low 13 second car.
that ml 63 is something else though, i though my dads ml55 was a fast truck
i havent launched it yet, but through the 1st 3 gears the acceleration does not diminish, it just keeps pulling.
its definitely not as torquey as the 55k (mom has e55) but it is much more refined and more enjoyable to use. you can actually feel that there is a peak to it, unlike the 55k plateau.

If that is the only redeeming feature on the E63, it can go straight to hell.
My 2005 E55 cruise control increments up and down in 1kph, as does the speed limiter (if I was ever to use it
)
Also for those that lease.......the S63 will have a much better residual.
Not to mention there is a good number of people who don't want a V12 car.

While my cruise is in 1kph increments I think my speed limiter is 5kph increments (2003 model)- I'll have to check.
I only use the speed limiter on a thursday night on one particular road where those nasty revenue raisers hide behind a power pole in an unlit section of the road -@#$&*
Why would US spec cars be different?
The Boerne dealership treated me great as did the San Antonio MB dealer while I was shopping.
