From what we've seen so far, either the K4 ran like *****, or the M6 was NOT stock. Still, that would have been ugly from a dead stop.

My fat pig of a CLS55 with k4 beat a stock M6 like it was standing still. This video is BS and most of the members at M5board are morons. Nuff said. I raced him on Ave pico in SC.

M6 started catching up only after 200km/h and was passing the MB at 250 when the Benz shut down (as agreed).
From a stop it would be a different story,rolling starts against prepared M driver are a losing proposition though.
On another note,calling someone a moron for no real reason or dismissing a legitimate video as BS shows lack of maturity and proves such person to be fresh out of diaper age.

I agree. Sour grapes. The M6 looks fast to me. I would love to have an M5 or M6 for a fun car, but for a daily driver, I'll take my E55(wouldn't mind having an E63).
Kleeman brought these cars, so I'm sure they were good examples. I guess it is possible the M6 was not stock, but I have seen no evidence of this and have no reason to believe it.

What do you run in the 1/4 again? I've been to the track many times and a few of my friends OWN M5's and I have yet to lose to one and I dont put out Kleemann stage 4 e55 numbers. I should have the M5 owners sign up on this forum just to post and tell you all first hand that my car is faster. You're english is not so great either so I assume you're over in Europe wher ethey get the REAL launch control.

I also find it very hard to believe this video from simple physics perspective. Both cars weigh about the same and Kleemann K4 has 140hp more and like 300tq more than the M6. However, if the M6 was modded to 600hp+ (can be accomplished with simple bolt ons), then thats a whole different story. Lets also keep in mind that Kleemann K4's are known to run low to mid 11's in the 1/4 mile all day and the M6 has a hard time pulling off low 12's. Thats more than 1 second difference in the 1/4 mile! Anyhow, this appears to be the only video of m6 vs E55 and we won't know for sure until we do more tests. Personal accounts without any proof are useless either way....

Alex if you read this lets get some video's up. I had my phone stolen so I lost everyones phone numbers. You have a M6, and we both know alot of kleemann e55's in the area. I wouldnt mind running either. If not, we can all hit the track for a rental. I can get at least 3 M5's out.

Come on... 600 HP "easily with a few bolt ons" for thw M6? You dont know what you are talking about. Here is a Kelleners M5 with race cams etc vs the new 911 Turbo:

I would love to see Gustav's video proved or disproved. I really don't know how fast an M6 is vs a Kleeman K4 at 130plus mph. Gearing and where the power is made can play a big role even though the Kleeman should be producing quite a bit more power. I would like to see what a Kleeman K4 would do against a stock E55 or a Renntech stage one with speed limiter removed at 130 plus mph.
I know most of us rarely use these kind of speeds and maybe the E55 motor is really not designed for max power past 120 mph like the BMWs are. Personally I would rather have the low end torque and power of the E55 because that is what I use the most.
I guess the M6 could have had some mods but I would think the Kleeman team would have at least looked under the hood and would have seen anything obvious. Easiest thing to do would have been to remap the ECU for 100 plus octane and use racing fuel.

Okay, I can live with those results. Some of us at MB World can accept the facts.
Note to self.................... Never race a M6/M5 if one pulls up to you while cruising at 150 mph. The only time to crush the ego of the M6/M5 driver is at any speed from 0-150mph.

I doubt the car is making 640hp, but then again there is some rumors about low tire pressure on the E55.
I think we all can live with that.. M6 is a fast car.
