opinion on new audi S8
I think they are pretty cool and quattro would be nice. great looking car, but performance probably not on par with e55 right
whaddya guys think?

I've had my order in for months. $6K deposit ( increased from $1K). I'll have to test drive when mine arrives to make the call, but I already have 3 offers to take my place.

I saw one at the dealer with I got my Q7.... it was well over 100k.... seems like an S600 competitor at a lower price...

Oh crap, sorry I thought you were talking about the R8. LOL. Don't like the S8, test drove it when deciding and it was more for and older man than me.

I drove this one. Nice car, but no Mercedes. A new S550 will drive circles around it. Perhaps not peak power, but everything else. Especially interiour detail and quality. And ride quality.

It's good looking and the interior and image are second to none but performance wise it is nowhere near the E55 (apart from in poor conditions, of course)
Personally, I think it's too big as it has no more useable space than the A6 especially in the trunk department.
You'd be much better advised waiting for the forthcoming RS6 which is destined to be the best car in the segment. That's what I'm doing.

lol if i had money id never get an audi , they want too much for their poor quiality piece of ** cars lol 70k for an rs4 ahahahahahaha , but thats my .02 cents i would get s550 especialy with an AMG package any day over s8 , id rather get even lexus ls460 or bmw 760 or even 750 , no love for audi from me , but everyone has their own taste so good luck . =]

I saw a R8 on the freeway two days ago. I looked in my review and I saw this car coming really fast so I go into the slow lane and he passed me. I was in my little Pontiac Sunfire so I speed up in my little POS car and caught up to the guy the car looked really really nice the back reminded me of a ferrari and the sound of the exhaust was just perfect. The guy sorta through me the whats up and just gunned it. I must say its a fine car indeed but I have no idea how it would compare to a benz.

I had a chance to testdrive a new S8 a few weeks ago and was able to testdrive an E63 the next day!
Although I am really into the design of the new S8, the acceleration and the sound was much more impressive in the E63! If I had to choose, I'd go for the AMG!!!!
