That is also the worst thing from a towing perspective. They only tow 7500lbs with that tranny down almost 1500 from the tahoe/yukon and more than 1500 from the competition. With all that power they should have a 10,000lb rating. I just don't understand the thought process at GM.

So.... tell me about Cadillac depreciation again... BMW's aren't much better then Mercedes... The euro cars are worth nothing w/o a factory warranty attached to them..
I like the Escalade. But its just too big for my taste..

Not to hijack this thread, BUT, I disagree...NOTHING I have ever owned looses value like a Mercedes!!!!! The absolute WORST.. My next Mercedes will be a LEASE....

Proportionally, perhaps the GM might be tiny bit worse, but a well loaded Escalade is in the mid $60k's, so the hit isn't nearly as bad.
Back on the Escalade. My father has one and he was nice enough to lend it to me and my family for a road trip a couple months back. I loved it. The interior is worlds above the previous ones and you almost forget you're driving an American SUV and not a premium European Luxury sedan. The quality is not bad, so far. His previous Yukons and Suburbans always made it to 60-70k miles with nor problems and this one looks like it will do the same, if not better. If you want to avoid the hip-hop image, forget the 22s and stick with the 18s or 20s. Give me a black EXT with Navi and sunroof on the factory 22s and I'm done.

I agree 110%! I bought my 2004 E55 USED in mid 2005, thinking it wouldn't be so bad when it came time to sell. Boy, was I wrong!! I've had some offers and they are f'ing LOW!!! I'm going to lose more money on this car than any other car I've ever owned!!! Keep in mind, I bought it USED and I'm including several cars that I modified to high degrees and also sold at a loss. None hold a candle to the "Beast". Don't get me wrong, E55 is an amazing car, but if you're buying for resale value, I suggest you pick up a cocaine habit. It will cost you less money in the long run.
