I really don't know....just a butt dyno tells me its stronger....here in Tennessee (Ohio native )...there are very few tracks and even fewer tuners...now if I wanted to go to a circle track....I would have a good choice!!

I would say that so far the biggest factor determining how well the car is going to perform at any given time for me has been how I have been driving it the 30 minute prior to the event.
Best 0-60 I have had on my G-Timer was 4.02 a couple of days ago. But then this morning after about 10 minutes of very slow poke driving I did another 0-60 and I got 4.85 which is ****, and that was after a throttle reset (which I am not sure took)
Anyway, if you have a G-Timer or similar device you'll be able to get a good idea what you can do. But 12.5 is pretty solid for stock car. What do E55s do 1/4 when stock?

I have not tracked my E63 at all but I agree that the car feels stronger with the filters removed. No adverse effects so far.
Should I put them back in when I take the car in for the scheduled maintenance?

There is a slim to none chance of the service reps finding out that you have taken them out. They would NEVER look there.

Gents, the filter is only used in the US models to pass EPA requirements. They are not found in the European models, so there would not be any adverse effect to your engine if you took them out.

I run 12.5-12.6consistently bone stock, with a little better technique, I could probably get it down a couple more tenths. I have 2 videos of me to back it up, if anyone wants to see I will post them.

Good to know that about everyone seems to share the same results as I do....but I will save the filters just in case.
