W211 E55s vs non-AMG E: not much visual differences?

W211 E55s vs non-AMG E: not much visual differences?
is it just me, or are the visual differences between E55s vs. regular E-class very subtle on the W211s?? on W210s, the differences were huge, i could tell a E55 from a mile away. but on W211s, the differences seem very subtle, especially if E350/500 has bigger wheels.

I was at my friends Mb dealership when a Pro ball player was trading his Brand new E55 in for a P-car cause of this very deal.He didnt think there was enough recognition between the regular E's and the E55's.People thought he had a regular E and it didnt stand out enough around his friends...so He bought a new Pcar.True story so help me lightning!

2006 with 1300 miles on it.It was truely amazing hearing this guy rationalize why he needed this car traded in.I just about fell down laughing half way through the story.

That doesn't suprise me a bit... I am suprised he bought a Pcar though... a purple or bright blue Bentley GT on 24's has pro ball player written all over it.

I cant remember the actuall model,Im not a pcar guy.911 something or another,then he had them install some huge goddy wing on the rear and front bumper kit that was way too over the top for me.Heard he got rear ended about a month after he got the car too...gotta feel bad for the guy at this point.
