can i leave my car on jack stands?

Going to get my rims fixed and need to send all 4 of them! Is it safe to leave the car on jack stands for 1-2 days? Would it be bad for the suspension?

none
Shouldn't be bad for the suspension. Just make sure you use all the correct jack points and maybe a few extra stuctural points to be safe. Use the correct jacks with the correct load rating. I would highly recomend keeping the car locked away and inside so no one can lean on it or have the possiblity of kickin' over. Be extra careful and try to get the car on the four stands before removing any wheels. I had to do this to my care a couple times and it makes me nervous every time. I personally wouldn't get under it unless the wheels are still on.

Also be careful when doing it as the jacks can shift footing as the you raise and lower the various corners.
I would put all 4 corners on jacks and then re-set each before you actually take all the rims off.
Good luck.

I haven't done this on my Benz but with my 996's, I did this all the time. I have 4 jacks. Raise it up on 4, then you can remove 1 jack at a time. The car was stiff enough to not even notice the missing jack, and I could put a jack stand under that point, then kept doing that for the other points. Do this with the wheels still on and mostly tight just in case. Once it's on all 4, you can fully loosen the lug nuts and remove the wheels.

I can't comment on the time length of being on stands. I know for extended periods like months or weeks, it can be bad, but for a day or 2, I don't know.

I thought you weren't supposed to place the whole car on four jackstands to begin with? I've put my front on stands overnight once since nighttime fell before I finished my brake job.

Is that true? It wasn't true for Porsche, but for MB is that an issue?
I could see why w/ the weight of these cars, but still...

You can also get jacks that distribute the wight better and also make sure you place them at reinforced points.

A unibody, in general, presents challenges, but I've seen plenty of W211 on jacks for months on end.
