Renntech or Kleeman ECU for my E63?

Renntech or Kleeman ECU for my E63?
Hey Guys,
I'm trying to decide on the Kleeman or Renntech ECU for my E63. The Kleeman ECU is $1500 USD while the Renntech is a whopping $3500 USD. Renntech does claim a 10 HP and 10 ft/lb more than Kleeman's but I'm told Renntech is a little wild with their power claims. From previous experience with ECU tuning I realize that most of these "off the shelf" upgrades are pretty close and yield similar results. If I go the Kleeman route I can purchase tlhe lowering module and ECU together for less money than the Renntech ECU tune alone.
What do you guys suggest?
Also, does anyone know who offers the better lowering module? Renntech, Kleeman, Carlsson etc.?

renntech has the better lowering mod. for only 10 hp id wait it out some to see what others have to say. have you removed you charcole(sp?) filters yet? people claim 10hp just by that alone, best part its free.

renntech has a digital loweing modual that can be adjusted on the fly! each front corner can be tuned the way you want it. its not that much money either. adam at euroelites was having a big sale on them awhile back not sure if he still is but worth a try.

Whoever asked about fuel in Canada... We have Sunoco Ultra 94 octane all around here.

Are you a dealer for Kleeman as well?
In your honest opinion, do you feel that Renntech would provide any more power gain over the Kleeman software?

I would do some more research on the ECU before you decide. In the end, Kleeman vs Renntech is simply where your alliances lay.
As for the module, I'd like to clarify. The Airmatics (E55 / E63) are only adjustable at three points. The rear is done as a single, since there is only one sensor there. Also, the Renntech is NOT adjustable on the fly from the factory. That is only after a modification to the box or wiring harness (which is simple). However the part about the RennTech unit being the best on the market is very true because of the digital part. it is the only digital ELM for our cars as of now. The analogue ones can be suseptible to heat, etc. and will "float" from their set points at times. The digital one is consistent. Last thing, it retails for $1200, which is cheaper than the less worthy competitors.

No, Renntech has been very strict on distributors lately so my hands are pretty tied up.
No, I am not a Kleemann dealer.
Both companies are reputable companies, with different products to offer. Since I am not a Kleemann dealer, i cannot claim that Renntech would provide a larger power gain over the Kleemann software. Did you get my private message regarding the 63 software?

Damn bro, that sucks up there. There is a load of them down here. That and deleting the speed limiter are the only reasons I wanna tune. I only want about another 6 degrees advanced. Other than that, the acr runs pretty pig rich anyway. I doubt I'll need the ECU tune before the TB install.

As far as the HP numbers are concerned, my Stage 5 dyno'd within 2 hp of R/T's published numbers and (484 vs. 486) and the torque was actually 5 ft/lbs. higher. I see that now they publish "flywheel hp."

In my opinion, you can not go wrong with either. See if there are any Renntech or Kleeman vendors in your city or find a shop that has experience installing Renntech or Kleeman products on your car and visit them before deciding. Whoever you chose, just stick with that tuner. Have fun modding!!!!

Sean, just go with the sprint booster.... better throttle response is what you need..... save a ton of money... I had the kleeman ECU when i had my E55 and felt a little diffrence... spent 1k on it.... didn't think it was worth it at all... Just my opinion...

I say go for the Renntech ecu. I have been very happy with my ecu from them. No problems and my 63 feels a lot better than stock. Throttle response is much better and the added H.P. and torque is definatley noticeable. I can not say anything about the Kleeman ecu becuase I don't have it. Good luck.

Someone mentionned the Sprint Booster, How does it feel when driving in slow traffic, does it get jerky and annoying? Also, about how much pedal travel do you think is dead now? Lastly, suppose I did want one how much do they cost and who sells them.

The reason why I mentioned Sprint booster is because I originally wanted the Kleeman ecu to help with throttle response... It didn't help as much but with the S/B it did what i wanted for 1/4 of the price... 250-280 is what they go for.....
