*** VRP Extreme Belt Wrap Kit ***
The issue with the tensioner was due to the fact that the belt was nearly too short to work with my ASP pulley, but he DID get it on. The tensioner is nearly bottomed out (completely "back") and, as such, there was not enough room for the secondary tensioner to be installed as the "arm" on the secondary tensioner could not be adjusted "short" enough to fit into the provided space. The belt has already appeared to stretch a bit (judging by the positioning of the stock tensioner) so after a few miles are put on the car, we will reinvestigate the installation on the secondary tensioner.
As far as the engine cover being notched, the upper tensioner pulley on the passenger side of the motor was extremely close to the cover, necessitating a small notch in the plastic to provide satisfactory clearance between the tensioner pulley and the engine cover.
I'll post some pics as soon as I get some.
We tested everything with a 175mm pulley but for some reason the ASP is setup differently.. Can you get the tech to order a GATES Part #K080560HD
belt.. This is a 56" belt which will take care of all your problems. I will reimburse you for the belt.. just ship me back the one I sent you.
Good luck Don! Let us all know how it goes on the dyno.

Everyone that had trouble with the belt length of the 54" supplied belt... When you went to install the belt, did you release the nut on the tensioner bolt and unscrewed it all the way so the tensioner would release and the pulley could move all the way back/up??? This would be required in order for the belt to have enough slack to get around the snout of the S/C...
Is this the procedure you guys used to fit that 54" belt?

Edit...maybe the 2nd pic shows it better how far I still needed to go.

When the belt is installed the idler position should be "Mid" way or slightly further to help promote wrap and accommodate stretch.
This point is between Lock position and Stop position.

come on guys do this already dont be scared. if there is a problem you wont know right away so why wait for the next guy to go first! belive me if oliver was here today my car would be at the dyno right now, and at the track tonight.
The install is fairly starightforward, it was with ASP pulley so we had to use 560 belt.
Using NOLOGY PDA, boost is nice and even at 15 psi.

It will go on the dyno next week, so we will get a better look.

15psi constant huh... Hmmm... Do you know what that means Vadim??? It means kit price goes up $200 right after your dyno sheet gets posted... LOL...
j/kLooking forward to the dyno feedback. That will end all the speculation.
Enjoy the new found power!

Once anyone walks in there you will know what I mean.
Looking forward to working on future projects with you.
My dyno sheet shows what Victor thought was belt slip. Im waiting for someone with a dyno-sheet like mine to do this mod to see if it works. Anyone finished and dyno yet?
Jason
What I want is to know if I have a belt slip issue. I did not think I had one. I thought the a/f dropping was due to heat issue and computer dumping fuel.
So before I start throwing money at a problem that I don't know even exist, and since Victor sold out of his first run of pulleys, I thought someone would have some answers.
I don't remember ASKING for anyone to buy these parts, I was just asking for all the people that DID, if it has solved any issues for them.
Ok with you Mr. ROCKETW19
