Quote: We've got a CLK63 cab project car.. Its going to get a host of upgrades..

To give you an idea of what is being done:

- CLK BS widebody panels
- Custom dual exhaust
- VRP 63 headers
- VRP S/C upgrade (first pass will be for stock internals.. second pass will be higher boost and built bottom end. )
- VRP VR530 Kit
- VRP 63 Coilover kit
- VRP 2piece brake upgrade kit
- Quaiffe LSD setup
- Custom wheels (havent decided on which ones yet)

There is a bunch more going into it, but the S/C is the first R&D project Vadim will be tackling.

We'll post progress of the project car as we move along.
Victor...

You forgot the transmission !!! 7 speed wont hold those extra torgues...that is why Kleemann with thier 800 HP TT ML63 used our old 5 speed re-inforced gearbox !!!

No I didn't ...

How about a reinforced transmission loaded with all the good stuff that can support 1200lb/ft of torque and a matching EGS module to go along with it.. Would that do the trick??

I'll post some info on the bullet trans later today.. waiting on some pics.. The first one is on its way back to our Houston Location and it will be going in a member's car along with some other VRP goodies.

So do you guys have an ETA on when the supercharger kit will be completed? Any more specifics on the kit and/or pictures of the progress? Has the original plan evolved or deviated at this point from when the thread was first made?

MB can't even keep the 722.9's together in stock form, but it finally is getting better.

I'd like to hear more about this modified trans. Are you providing any type of warranty/guarantee? Any insight on the problems causing the failures(stock)?

The problem is not in how much TQ engine makes, but in assembly quality. MB had some issues at assembly plant.

This is what our client wants and it goes on the car he has. Both engines are the same, CLK has slightly more restrictive exhaust, which will be fixed as a part of this project.

CLK63 Kompressor project is moving forward...

We picked up a 2.6L blower from Kenne Bell. This is rated to handle 750hp+ so it should be more than enough for our needs.

We are in the process of designing a manifold for it and will have a prototype in the next few weeks.. This first kit will be a bolt-on, low boost solution that will work with the stock engine.. Once this is up and running we are looking at coming out with the high output version which will require internals to be built up.

The goal is 600hp with stock block and 750hp with built internals.

Here are a few pics I snapped just to get an idea of the positioning and size of the Kompressor...

Soon, the 63 guys will start to have some real fun with BOOST.

If all goes according to plan, this is what you can look forward to on the 63 platform..

Just pretend the black Cobra in the video is a white CLK63 and you'll get the jist of what we are trying to accomplish..

FRom A Supercharger!
Quote: intersting... in future 6.2 will get supercharger or turbos... i heard that AMG wasn't very happy with this engine as they axpected more from it ... did anyone heard of new SLR ? I heard that new one will be made by Mercedes AMG, and the top of the line model will have 1000 HP... sorry for speaking out of topic...
From what I read about the new SLR it will be a "Supercharged" 6.2 not a TT. Go figure that out???

We are working on the design of the manifold right now... Once the CAD work is done, we will get an SLA prototype done and do some fitment testing.

Its going to take a few weeks...

Does this also include the Black Series? Should be interesting to see a high boost version of this on the BS.

At this time it appears that all 6.2L motors are identical inside. Thus the kompressor kit will wor on BS as well.

Oh yes! Please keep this post updated every step of the way. Do you have any idea as to when the supercharger project will be completed? I mean are we talking 2 months, end of summer..somewhere there abouts? On a related note, how soon after would kits be ready to ship out?
