witch OBD11 scanner?
thanks for your time.
thanks for your time.
everyone keeps sayin to get the autoenginuity but all i want to do is check my temps. i dont wanna carry around a lap top or anything thats well beyond my understanding.
I'd like to do the same thing - to check my intercooler pump. Needs to be simple or downloadable to a desk top. Giudance would be appreciated.
You should read the product info, and download the user's manuals for each and learn how they work. Then you can pick the tool that works best for you. You have to invest the time and effort to learn about them carefully, otherwise you will get nothing from this exercise.

I'm a helper. I think I understand what you need, and the autoenginuity tool can give it to you easily. Just to give you an idea, I bought their ScanTool for the Pocket PC, and the Bluetooth module. I installed the software on my CELL PHONE, a Bluetooth-capable AT&T 8525 Pocket PC, and, after simple configuration, can easily read all the sensor data in real time on my cell phone while I'm driving the car. The AutoEnginuity tool reads IAT, according to threads on this board (search IAT and Autoenginuity, you'll get 2 threads that document this). You don't want overly fancy stuff, I understand, but this thing is so good and powerful, it's simple to use.

, can i ask how does it work on blue tooth? It is my understanding that you need to pulg in a OB2 sockit under the steering wheel near the pop hood leaver..
No need to carry a computer or have to have a phone that is a pocketPC or Palm.
Looks like a neat and simple solution. Basically has a microcomputer in a box, instead of using a Windows based PC or Pocket PC. Cool alternative, and maybe just what Rocket wants.
Pcalver trhanks for the link and your time helpin me.

Been in touch with the guys there - they know about the problem but do not know when a solution will be available. Maybe as more of us put pressure they will get it sorted.
BTW - when its working its a really great unit ...
