My S600 runs 10.805@130.23!
Just wanted to let everyone know that my car ran a best of 10.805@130.23 at MIR during Ahmad's track rental Monday October 8. The weather if you haven't already heard was less than ideal but I still managed to get some decent times. Here is the breakdown of my best timeslip:
60'-1.618
330-4.614
1/8-7.024@103.36
1000-9.067
1/4-10.805@130.23
Of course I was using N20 to get these times. My best without N20 is 11.27@121.88. My setup was grafted from an LS1 nitrous express kit that used a "shark" wet nozzle that I placed in the plastic inlet just before the throttle body. My old setup was a "dry" nozzle in each intake tube which probably made between 50-70hp. The new setup goes to 150 hp and those are the jets I was using which were 62 for N20 and 33 for fuel. RFlow informed me that the fuel rail pressure for MB's is more than a typical LS1 which would make my setup richer than the LS1 with the same fuel jet. It worked fine and I don't believe that I am going to step back with the fuel as richer is safer in my mind with this much N20. A video of the 10.93@127 pass in on UTube and the link is in my signature. Details of that pass are as follows:
60-1.633
330-4.635
1/8-7.084@101.29
1000-9.168
1/4-10.939@127.32
I suppose I'll take credit for the "quickest/fastest Bi-turbo 600" but I did use N20 to get that 10.80 pass. JWade still has the fastest pass without the aid of N20 with an 11.14 vs my best 11.27 without N20. Those times without N20 came on the same track rental day in April so that is a great comparison of "apples to apples." Track prep was great until some of the guys with no track etiquette pulled through the water only to drive to the starting line without a burnout. Geez, if you aren't going to do a burnout go around the water box and then proceed to the starting line.

Amazing runs with or w/o nos.. Your car is steady and fast. what do you run on the front?
You and Jay seemingly could do a sub 11 second pass non nos on a great DA day?
ever lined JW up?

Am I crazy for saying that these cars could maybe dip into the 9's if one of you E55 modaholics got ahold of one? I mean, a little spray and giant 4 door is pulling 10's in the heat![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
I think everyone who reads this re-thinks their current AMG choice....
Wow.

The front tires are nothing special. They are Dunlop's that were on special at tires.com with matching replica wheels. Size 245/45-18. Maybe I need to invest in some skinnies to cut down on rolling resistance. Supposedly that is worth nearly a tenth. I had my fronts pressurized to 50psi.

did notice in your 10.93 Vid the guys were almost spraying the side of your car down with water while you were doing your burnout. Lot's of guys actually doing full burnouts in the water box and lots of them just driving staight thru it.
The track was a little slick towards the end of the day with all that going on.

I really think that someone with a 65 series AMG car could run extremely low 10's with similar mods on a low DA day. No replacement for displacement. 5.5 vs 6.0

Hey Stephen, does she ever go into limp mode with that much torque??
We got a guy around here that has ECU/TCU and his biggest complaint is that she overtorques the tranny and goes into limp often. Has to pull over and reset at that point.
Guy runs 11.7 up here at 4300ft.
I agree with all the above, we all need to sell and invade the S600 forum.

I'm sorry I missed those runs, Stephen! What was your best NA run on that same day?
Have you thought about strapping it down on a dyno and doing some A/F logging on the spray to tune it? If you're REALLY rich, it may help to lean out the fuel jet or even pull back the nitrous jet a bit and then dial the fuel back so that you're not running pig rich. 1 step colder plug may be some cheap insurance too, since you can't easily pull a couple degrees of timing.

2004 E55 AMG and 2003 C320 4Matic Miss my 993 Turbo above!!
ECU tune impact on S600's
How do you get that kind of increase in:
11.97@114.70 1.755 60'.
11.278@121.88 1.643 60'. Renntech ECU/TCU
I got 2 MPH at best with my ECU tune...........
Just amazing...........

unlike our kompressor motors, you can control boost through the ecu on the turbo motors so it's quite easy to get much larger hp gains.

congrats and great times, wish I could have gone. What kind of power does the car make on the dyno with and with out the spray. I am just curious how much over 600whp the car is at to run that 10.80.

I need to strap it to a dyno to find out. I really don't have any idea what the rwhp is at this point. The only problem is with the V-12 biturbo cars is that an rpm lead is difficult to find. Ask Jason as they never found an rpm lead when his car was dynoed. My local shop gave me the "deer in the headlights stare" when I asked about a dyno for my car. They mostly dyno Mustangs, Camaros, and Corvettes like any shop. If I was in California I'd take it to Adam and let him strap it to the dyno. BTW...my car has no weight reduction at all besides removing the spare and there is a 15lb nitrous bottle in its place which weighs nearly the same.
