Need advice for rotors to my E55

I have read all posts I could find but still are there some questions for me, please help me out!

Seems to me that there is two popular ones, Evosport new model or the Porterfield’s.
Regarding Evosport, are slotted/drilled preferable or just slotted? I’m not tracking my car but I drive very hard.

Regarding Porterfield’s, which model is preferable, there is allot of options in there website?

And finally of course, the big question, witch of the options are best for me?

.

Get the Evosport kit.. Lightweight 2piece rotor design.. I've had them on for 10,000km or more and no issues so far.

Interested in these... On their website they Mention a 34lbs weight savings on all 4 wheels!

Now that's kind of vague, it makes it sound like each rotor weighs 34lbs less... I have not weighed the stock rotors, but I am assuming that each rotor weighs 8.5lbs less? Would that be consistant with what you have found?

Thanks,

RoydRage

Thanks, I’ll do that. You have a lot of credibility for me with all your knowledge.

I emailed them and its same statement regarding weight savings. I could check weight diff when I change but it will take a while, I have some traveling coming up. Boring to drive here now anyway, all snow...

Carbon fiber might *LOOK* nice, but unless you're only running your car on a road course, it's not the best solution. It takes a long time to heat up carbon fiber pads. If your pads aren't heated, you might not be able to stop- which can cause you to get into an accident.

Yes each rotor weighs around 9 pound less in the rear, and about 10 pounds in the front. I weighed mine, myself! I have the evo new generation rotors, and it's awesome!
