PS, per Cory at Klee's calculation. Kleemann claims 19% loss.

Your pushing 576hp on latest dyno.

Still nothing to be ashamed off.

I wonder if he'll pick up more power after a ecu adapts to the new changes...???

Cars with just the ASP pulley dyno higher with just the pulley. What this car has is a stage 2 which should put down at least 60whp and 80 wtq. Something seem wrong. I'll wait till the experts chime in.

My installer just called wondering what kind of power my car made and stated that he just dyno'ed an e55 (on the same dyno none-the-less) and made on avg. 38 rwhp with just the ASP pulley.
That car is owned by a board member here as well!

So, you guys are getting me a little concerned

Can you guys who are running an ASP pulley confirm, on avg, how much power you are putting to wheels (or asp w/ a tune)?

I have seen several dynos on other cars that would suggest that the ASP pulley alone would add 35-45 hp at the wheels (about 10-15 rwhp over the competition's pulleys). May not make sense to compare actual numbers between dynos, but it certainly makes sense to compare the increase in power over stock with just a pulley.

That is what I was thinking but I just needed some Corroborative thoughts!

DFW01E55, Jackpro, Topgun,
All you guys are / were running an ASP with and without software, corrrect?
Did you guys ever do any before and after dyno's. I did a search and only found some thoughts as to how much power these pulleys gained which is right in line with what we are talking about, approx. 35-45 @ the wheels

Hey Evan,

Something is wrong.. I wouldnt take those numbers to heart.. Your car is registering 10:1 A/F from 3,500RPM to redline.. (it touches at 3500 RPM, goes up to 11:1 until 4,100RPM and then dives back down to 10:1).. There is something else going on..

Either your belt is slipping like crazy (which would make sense because of the up and down movement of A/F between 3,500 - 4,000RPM) or its dumping fuel becuase IAT are skyrocketting.

You need to also do a STAR scan on the car and make sure there are no stored codes for the Intercooler pump.

Those 466rwhp 547rwtq numbers are STD... SAE that translates to approx 450rwhp 530rwtq.... and that is a bit low for those mods...

Buy a new S/C belt and put it on and check the codes.. after those 2 things are done, do another dyno...

What belt do you have on it now?

Got any numbers you can give us? Take a peak on it and see if you can see them.

RFLOW's Jaq belt is supposed to work amazing.

EVOTECH Mercedes AMG
In comparison with the ASP pulley, Evotech Stage 1 E55 (178 mm pulley) has a gain of 40-45 hp and 65-70 lbs ft of torque on the rear wheel.

Maybe have Kleemann retune the file.

So this Jag belt works good with the ASP pulley, anyone know the # for the Jag belt or what car it comes on. Thank you.

you need a data logger i have scangage2 and it works the basics like i want. i was waisting time tryin to guess at problems of my car when all it took was this tool to tell me my car was running way to hot. as i would be willin to bet yours is also. ASP with tune should be 40min upto 50rwhp. shorty headers another 20-25rwhp some claim 30s. check your IAT there is your problem.

Mine ASP was with Kleemann software. Dyno's here are pretty hard to come by. The dyno guy I go to literally will not answer his phone and I have to go down to the shop late in the day and beg him to dyno the car.

Big pain in the a-ss so I don't go as much as I should.

Gonna go down and do the "begging" process next week for the new mods.

Other dynos in the area asked me to stay away from the car during the process.

Told um, "Look if she's gonna blow, it's gonna be with ME behind the wheel."

Can't imagine sitting in some room and watching her come apart on me.

I have no doubts that my engine is going to lose the fight against heat but,,,,but, after a short drive to the dyno and upon firing the car up 20 min. later and then doing the first pull (which was the lowest of the two) heat should not have played that huge of a role during the first pull. When I saw 460, i was for certain that pull #2 was going to drop by 10hp due to heat. I was surprised that it increased a little. The second pull was done 2 minutes after the first’s one.

Belt type:
I am using whatever belt that was supplied by K1 Motorsports. Aren't they all the same or do they distribute the pulley with different belts??? I'll look into it
If everyone is saying they see belt slip in my dyno so be it, then I will change my belt to this Jaguar belt everyone is talking about. It can't be that expensive!

Vic,
You mention SAE translation, I thought the dyno operator told me they were corrected???? I'll have to check the dyno again

Rocketw19
How much is this scangage2 data logger you are talking about and how user friendly is it?

I will have to possibly call Kleemann to see what they can do>>>
Would a retune of existing software be cheaper than say a first initial tune???

Thanks

Just an ASP pulley, 453hp and 530tq at 77 degrees on a Dynojet.

Do you have the dyno sheet handy and did you do a baseline run by chance?

Thanks for the info

Rosey,
Run #4 in blue is baseline (pre-pulley) with a bad IC pump.

Run #6 in red is post-pulley with a bad IC pump, up 1 hp and up 53 ft/lbs of torque.

Run #11 in green is post pulley with the IC pump replaced, up 72hp and 22 torque.

Total improvement between the new IC pump and the ASP pulley, 73hp and 75tq. YMMV

Dynojet

I've got a deal pending on an SL55, if it falls through, I'm gonna' try the headers and a tune on the CL.

If you search in this forum and others you will find that the ASP Pulley alone should add at least 35-45rwhp over stock. With a tune you should gain another 15-20rwhp so these 2 together should increase 50-65hp at the wheels over stock. If you add headers, you should see at least another 20rwhp which would bring you to atleast 70-85 rwhp over stock.

Does this sound correct?

www.scangauge.com its $169 bucks and is so easy i can use it! trust me your car is hot, thats it. especialy if you drive it then let it sit for a few mins. the heat just builds up way to fast. your 2nd run was more HP cuzz the car got to at least run the IC durring the first run, witch is way better than just sitting after a drive.

IM so sure of your problem that if you buy the scangauge or any other data logger and your car is not running hot i will buy it from you so you are out zero cash. just tell me what kind first so i know if i can afford it.lol

I have heard from my local clients that K charges $1000 for a retune. Not too sure on their policy.

$1,000
Seems a bit much.

I'd rather spend that kind of money towards a bigger HE

Thanks for the info though

Money back guarantee huh>>>>LOL!
Rocket, you have a stake in this scanguage company?
I think I'm better off finding someone locally who has a data logger who is willing to load it to me for an hour vs. spending that money for probably a few uses.
But, IF i choose to get one, Scanguage it is
Thanks for the info

thanks for dyno graph!

Now, were you ever able to get a baseline dyno with a functional pump and stock motor? Your ASP numbers seem about right, I'm just wondering how your car did stock?

Victor mentioned that my dyno graph showed a STD reading not SAE corrected. What are the differneces with these two reading and how is the math done?
