Vadim has bypassed the rear turbos and is slated to go on the dyno this week.

The reason: He wants to get the tune right in stages.. ie, not have too many upgrades at one time.. so as to help with any troubleshooting that may pop up.

So, the last time the car was on the dyno it ran 571whp, with the scorpion intake and the upgraded intercoolers.

Now, it will run with the bigger cams, and ported and polished heads, and a port matched intake..

We are expecting about 15-20whp increase this week with those upgrades.

Then he will plumb back in the rear turbos, to make sure that there is only one "variable" to deal with during the final tuning stages.

Then, we are hoping for a final tune with 93 octane to get around 800-850whp with the rear turbos.

It's getting close...

571HP? That's way off from Marco's 692 HP with the intake and intercoolers. My stock 65 puts out 528HP.

Still, only 571 after those upgrades is rather poor. If it was tune only then ok.

Not trying to tell vadim how to tune or anything....but I have done a similar project on another car. The easiest thing to do was to get the stock wastegates to stay opened constantly. Im not sure if you can do this in the software or via manual "clipping" of the wastegate....thereby negating the stock turbos and turning them into just a manifold; you can then just run the rear turbos. Probably run better than an inverted compound turbo.

Marko...what flow rate are the stock fuel injectors??? You guys must be close to runing out of fuel at 700rwhp no?

The only upgrades on that dyno run were the intercoolers, intakes and a tune..

This dyno run will have that, plus cams, heads, and portmatched intake..

The final run will have all of that plus the 2 rear turbos..

So, 571, plus 20ish will be 590-600whp, expected on this dyno run..

Then slightly above 800whp on the final dyno run, w the turbos..

Its tuned for 100 octane. Highest we ever ran in the car was 103 octane.
And lately its been running on 93 pump gas, cause its hard to buy race gas in the winter.

The fuel system is being looked into. With some other goodies

Did you have any ECU tune on your car or was it the stock ECU?

I asked myself that same question. We're looking into it. I'm more skeptical of the pump than the injectors actually. Also, the main feed line appears to be rather small.

Hmm...something seems off. 2 RENNtech 65's with ECU/TCU, airboxes and I/C upgrades are running around have dynoed 605rwhp and 611rwhp respectively. I would have thought that the RENNtech tune just by itself would bring a 560-580rwhp #. The VRP I/C upgrade and Intake should only push it higher. The 571rwhp # seems a little low given the upgrades. Am I missing something?

The car did have a RennTech tune..

I was underpowered.. That's why it's at Vadim's shop right now.. I wanted him to get it running "right."

It stinks when the car isn't running right...hopefully they will get it straightened out and they unleash the beast

Tried to get to the dyno today. The batteries will not hold charge. I have new ones coming on Monday and should have numbers with stock turbos, poretd heads, intake and very mild cam.

I'm terrified to ask/think what these parts will cost w/INSTALL, for a measily 15-20whp increase

"Bigger cams, and ported and polished heads, and a port matched intake"
We are expecting about 15-20whp increase this week with those upgrades.

Better check the tires, I'm betting they're history w/flat spots after sitting for 12-15 months too

Let me clear a couple of things.

Car made 450-460 when it came in. It had a bad MAP sensor. After that it was making mid530s, which was still a bit low. After the intercoolers it made 577RWHP, with nothing else.

I am expecting low 600s, just to make sure that everything else is OK. If I tune it, I am sure we can get in mid600s.

Now once the the rear turbos are on, the goal is low800s.

Just keep an eye on the AFR. I'm not sure we can flow enough volume through the stock lines.
