Is it safe to switch tranny and suspension modes while driving?

I have always switched between M and S mode in the tranny along with S1 and S2 on the suspension. Is that OK to do or am I in for a rude awakening one day?

Whoa, be careful! Doing it too much may get you bald, blind and grow hair on your palm.

I think all the "Don't switch that while driving" started back in the day of gen 1 electronic gear box that had S & W mode switch. The dealer told me many times don't switch that while you are driving.
So what do I do first thing.

Again, dealer information no good
But I do need glasses now.

I dont really mess with the airmatic, i always keep it raised in case of potholes, even on the freeway, if it lowers i just raise it agin when i get off the freeway. Do you guys normally drive in C or S? Anyone always in M?

My manual says "Never change the program mode when the gear selector lever is out of position P. This could result in a change of driving characteristics for which you may not be prepared."

Note that it's not a warning about the transmission suffering any kind of damage but a warning that a sudden, unexpected gear change can result. I guess I wouldn't do it on an icy off ramp at high speed.

Do most of you guys use the paddles in M mode or the gear selector?

Leave it in S and let the computer pick your gears. The paddles do nothing for me.

I have never actually experienced much difference between S1 and S2. Definite difference in comfort mode in that is seems loose and jiggly.
I keep mine in S2 at all times.
For what its worth.

I haven't had any issues doing that.

I will say, when switching in to dyno mode while at a light, I have had issues with the tranny wanting to switch out of say, 3rd gear...freaked me out and I stopped doing it after a couple of times. Now, I'll put it in dyno mode, and turn the car off. Of course, I don't do that at lights...

I don't like using the paddles but the gear selector can be fun. I only use M mode if I plan on getting into some twisties, gives me better control of the car.

S2 for the P30 cars is too tight for normal daily driving. The P30 has 35% higher spring rates. I go with C unless the plan is to tear up some curvy roads, then I have a completely different seat position and turn on my rip of the GT4 juke box.
