That's what this is for.

i dont think there needs to be any MBUSA involvement. The guys that dont want to drive their cars just coordinate a carrier and reduce your fees. Either way I am going to organize an all European event and host it later this year when it get cooler at MIR. I will do my best to cover some of the fees by sponsoring the event myself.

We will set you up in the tower so you can antagonize people over the loud speaker, security will be provided of course.

Looks like you guys also enjoy nightime runs, March or November looks best for the region. 6-12 would be neat. Looks like a nice track and great location.

OMG!!! I just realized ....... THE FASTEST TRACK IN THE USA is not ATCO.

Here we go

http://www.akracewaypark.com/

Man thats purdy!
Believe it or not I have been there. Needless to say it is a long haul.

US41 - Morocco, IN (~1.2 hrs from Chicago): 662'. This is a nice, family run track that is usually well-prepped. It is in the middle of the cornfields, at least 40 miles from civilization of any kind.

Gateway- St. Louis (~5hrs from Chicago) 403' This is a nice facility, also well prepped. It's about 1/2 hr from St. Louis proper.

131 - Martin, MI (~3 hrs from Chicago) 658' Small, family-run facility, just up the road from Kalamazoo. Recently redone.

Byron - Byron, IL (~2hrs from Chicago) 756' OK prep, decent facility. Much better since the pits got paved.

Great Lakes - Union Grove, WI (~2hrs from Chicago) 770'. Nice facility, on the smaller side. Prep is so-so.

That's about all I can come up with around here off the top of my head.
I have been to 131 in Martin a couple times and it is a great track. I can't imagine anybody having better track prep than there. Not sure how they do it but everybody gets out of the hole on that track. Can't imagine a better place really....

So, have we figured which track is fastest yet? So far, it seems like we have 3 top choices to choose from
  • The track in St. Louis
  • ATCO
  • MIR

I don't think this will happen cause it seems neither side wishes to travel and elevation can help or sink both of us...so the thread was wishful thinking...you tried Juice63 but I really don't think it will happen and if it does somehow the powerful boys out here may not go thus handing easily the crown to you guys which to me defeats the purpose of this great thought.
Good Luck!

You guys do know that we had a similar setup for the east coast last year at MIR right? People from NY down to Florida showed up. Alot of the heavy hitters showed up. Unfortunately it was pretty hot but if memory serves me correctly there were 3 benzes in 10's that day! This is by no means impossible, all it takes is for someone to step up and set it up. People will come after that. I'm working on it now...

Someone drove 2000 miles round trip for 8 hrs of fun, what a retard.

I can also vouch for Ahmad an e55jay's talent in setting this up.

My vote is MIR in NOV: The track prep is superb.

At what point at my putting anyone down? As you are doing..I feel by seeing all these argumentative posts that it might not happen...anyone would think that way.
I never knew you guys arranged a E/W thing last year cause I spend my time mostly on the C32/C55 forum cause I own a C32 so obviously the chances of seeing a thread such as this is unlikely if JRCart wouldn't have mentioned it I wouldn't know about this one either. Also if you had a similar event in your area wouldn't it be an easy choice to go to our area now? It is not fair to call anyone names if that person is unaware that such an event took place before. I don't doubt that an event such as this can't be organized. Please before you or anyone start name calling maybe you should sit back and count to ten then maybe something productive will come out instead.

Please don't be offended by my lack of knowledge for such an event.

Relaxxxxx!!!!!!!!!!!! He never said anything about you. He was talking about himself driving 2000 miles to MIR for 8 hours of fun, which I thought was amazing and I felt like I was meeting celebrities when I met Albert and Patrick. If you want to organize something in your neck of the woods... feel free.

another point i'd like to bring up. i know some places don't open private rentals for side-by-side passes so i'd really like make sure we have both lanes running. single passes are pretty boring, especially if some of us are coming from across the country.

The past few events we've held at MIR have been heads up aka side by side racing

My post was not meant to put any one down, they should just set up a place and location instead of trying to get everyone to agree on a location. In the end the serious guys will always show up and the rest will continue to argue about a venue.
The comment was more of an inside joke for Jay and Ahmad and I did not mean to offend anyone.

we will be running both lanes, full facilities open for race gas, water, air, ice etc. And there will be NO TECH. This is huge because I literally cant run at any track i my area, hell I can even run at MIR on any day but a private day, last test and tune I got kicked out.
