I think MIR is the fastest. There have been alot of records broken at MIR, including fastest stock C6 Z06 (using that as an example because there are stock Z06's all over the country).

I can't give an opinion on tracks I have never raced on but if it is held in the east it has to be ATCO over MIR and
E-town. Atco is the better of the 3.

Can I ask why you guys think a track at higher elevation is "better"? Wherever you guys decide to hold it I'll go, I'm just curious.

Count me out, this is obviously never going to go down. I find it very funny how so many of you want to do this on a "fast track", just goes to show what little knowledge most of you must have about drag racing. True, some tracks are traditioanlly faster than others, however on any given day, any track can be fast. There are so many uncontrolable variables in play. Hell, there are a few records that still stand at Denver where the elevation is nearly 5000 feet. So for you all to be caught up in Atco is a joke. It just seems to me that you don't want to travel very far. So if and when you ladies figure out when and where you are going to do this, please let me know.

I get a kick out of the guy that loves Atco so much he thinks Houston is in the center of the United States......ya, and South Carolina is Right above North Carlolina, right? Face it buddy, you just don't want to cough up the coin to ship your car elsewhere. I've run at Atco a dozen plus times, it is a "seasonal" track, early spring and late fall it's fast the rest of the time it's nothing special.

Of course there are uncontrollable factors but there are also controllable ones (altitude, track prep, etc etc) and certain regions have different types of weather. This may not happen on a nationwide scale but I guarantee you there wil be at least a couple MIR rentals this year just like there has been for the past few years .

the only joke so far is your screen name.

how can you say that others are afraid to travel when you're the one who's trying to make sure this happens in your own backyard? to compare denver is just stupid. nobody wants to see you run a 12.90.

and to say i don't want to cough up the coin to ship my car elsewhere is correct. i'm wanting to ship even further than you're suggesting to race on a better track so what's your point? of course it's a seasonal track...almost all of them are (duh). i thought that was another point of this discussion...to choose a date. so lets run atco or mir in the fall and we all can see what this 573rwhp car that you refuse to give any info on can do.

personally i could care less if you go or not but if you don't want to then you really have no further need to stay in this conversation.

I could care less where this goes down, I have a hauler and trailer that holds 2 cars, I'll go anywhere! I travel back and forth across the country a dozen plus times a year with my race cars. I just thought the suggestion (which I did not origianlly make) of a mid-west or more centrally located track was a good idea. I figured it would save a lot of people a lot of time and money since we are talking West vs. East, why not meet each other halfway?

As for my CLS, what do you want to know? Blew it up stock, bad ring caused piston failure, wasted a cylinder. 4mm over, custom cams, head work, top mount cooler, one-off large capacity air-box, one-off fabbed radiator with different mounting location and angle to make room for air box and cooler, Renntech headers, cat delete, renntech mufflers, renntech pulley, Renntech ECU. I run CONSISTANT 11.20's @126-127, Fastest ET 11.18 127.9mph. When I say consistant I mean 5 runs in 2 hours with 1/10th! As I stated before I have been drag racing cars for 22 years. I have a 1995 Firebird that runs high 8's and a turbo (factory 3.8) GTA Trans Am that runs low 10's on DOT's.

Its funny but I have asked him this question more than 3 times already...what's the big secret..., I haven't seen a 55 dynoing that high unless on spray. ohh well.

I vote for MIR, ATCO, E-town. Let's get this **** moving...

No spray, Don't run it, don't believe in it! If you would like to have a Dyno shootout, I'm game for that too! I'll shut you up real fast!

Any pics of that cooler/airbox setup?

Thanks.

I don't believe in Dyno's man...my only dyno is the track...Ii see you are some kind of dyno queen. Definitely hope you make it to this track rental. We will see who shuts who up. Just make sure your queen comes with you to the track rental. I will leave it at that.

Hahahah maybe that's all we need to spice things up and get a definite date and location. I say we do this sometime in the fall. it's already heating up, and summer is around the corner.

Quote: There was a guy with a Silver one at E-town running 10's...he tells me all of this is on stock internals!! Is that true? Wow that is impressive all you have to do is slap on a turbo set up, some tuning and Bam you are into the 10's...not bad if this is true.
That's Mark! and yes the stck internals on the S52 motors can handle up to 550whp+ with a headgasket.

i'm glad you're a baller...bravo. just seems ironic that jcart and you started attacking me personally when i posted facts in direct opposition to your goofy claims of midwest tracks holding as many records as atco.

and as far as your car or credentials go, i don't want to know anything about it but you've been asked on many occassions to share with others and you pretend that it's some big secret by ignoring them. we're not like that around here in case you haven't figured that out yet. we tend to share with our brethren what works and what doesn't instead of bashing them. unfortunately it seems you two midwest newbies don't understand that.

anyways, i'm more than willing to let this go and i hope to see your cls in action if this happens at atco or mir this fall.

Guys I can definitely make it if its close enough...if its too far sorry...it looks like this might not happen together(E and W) so I say setup a live video feed like we might do for April 12th at the private session. That way we can see the action as it goes on from two different sides of the States...maybe we can setup to run one side at a time after one finishes to settle any grudge matches from the E and W...
