West Meets East Official Track discussion

I am currently trying to get AMG to sponsor this event , to make it more affordable and better pricing on hotels and track rental.
I have asked for a weekend in November a two day Sat and Sunday event with cash prizes and promo's. I have presented it as an advertisement for AMG, Mercedes, and what the sedans do when they are not being used for going to dinners and shoping at Ralphs, Safeway and Kroeger, Winn Dixie ETC..
I have not really gotten any father than this.
If folks wanna start checking prices, what available region by region lets start posting real tangible info rather than attacking eachother.
Lets post up some two day prices for side by side runs, at MIR, ATCO, ENGLISHTOWN, US41, Any track someone feels is fast lets post up some details on a rental during a COOL time of year , NOV-March(April)or maybe night time runs?
We can settle all this beef on the track.
I can finally show the Atlantic Coast what Orca can do
Most weekend two-day events I've priced run between $5000-$8000 depending on locale. Mid-week rentals are considerably less.
Later in the season, more deals might be had.
EDIT: Some of the smaller tracks tend to run later in the season, as well. A place like RT66 can't be convinced to stay open late for virtually any sum.

Rt66 - Joliet (~1hr from Chicago) : It's about 518'. The track is pretty new, but the town is a scary dump; there is a casino nearby.

US41 - Morocco, IN (~1.2 hrs from Chicago): 662'. This is a nice, family run track that is usually well-prepped. It is in the middle of the cornfields, at least 40 miles from civilization of any kind.

Gateway- St. Louis (~5hrs from Chicago) 403' This is a nice facility, also well prepped. It's about 1/2 hr from St. Louis proper.
131 - Martin, MI (~3 hrs from Chicago) 658' Small, family-run facility, just up the road from Kalamazoo. Recently redone.
Byron - Byron, IL (~2hrs from Chicago) 756' OK prep, decent facility. Much better since the pits got paved.
Great Lakes - Union Grove, WI (~2hrs from Chicago) 770'. Nice facility, on the smaller side. Prep is so-so.
That's about all I can come up with around here off the top of my head.

Looks like you guys also enjoy nightime runs, March or November looks best for the region. 6-12 would be neat. Looks like a nice track and great location.
OMG!!! I just realized ....... THE FASTEST TRACK IN THE USA is not ATCO.
Here we go

Man thats purdy!
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
ATCO has a maximum of 15 cars allowed for a rental and charge $3000. I will call and see if we can get more but if you dont believe me read the link below. Does anyone know if they are strict in terms of roll cages?

I know for a fact that MIR will cost ~$100/car if we get 32 cars (on a weekday) and I know they will allow more than 15 cars from personal experience. I will call MIR today and see if we could get a weekend.
You are right guys from the east not going to midwest and midwest not going to east. The guys out west ask for MRI, ATCO and ET. You came out with hometown tracks and all hell broke loose

Juicee63 started this thread so he should rent the track he think is the fastest and anyone wants to go sign up.

We have the same 15 car max, but we also have private rentals 115.00 per car for up to 100 cars.
Once again I am talking about NOVEMBER 08 , I have started the thread early to hash out all ideas. I am not opposed to considering other tracks that have low elevation and 40-60 degree temps during the day.
From what I have seen, The East is fastest in terms of our cars. ChicagoX has some hellish fast passes on the Chicago, St Louis area tracks.
Maybe the guys in the Chicago area can go check out Gateway and bust off some sick runs, this may help sway many.
I am still waiting to hear from MBUSA in NJ and AMG. I really think a Benz driving event similar to the AMG challenge is the way to do this. Let them cover some of the costs.
One thing I know for certain is guys like Jakpro1, ROCKETW219, Chiromikey, Shawn, BlueMonster,Rudy, Roselv, and many others in the West are tired of never seeing 11.20's even the chance to crack 10.999 is reason to travel to a track that can be prepped professionally and have great air.
The guys in the East , Mid-west, South, can attend a track 4 days per week, out here you get to run 1 every few months or drive across the state to run against 100's of others. When you lose they simply say "Hope you had fun, buh bye now".
Anyway lets relax, keep it civil.
Ahmad ,
Thanks for checking.

That track is great but it is too high for our N/A motors LOL... starting at 1200 feet would be painful.
I would like to stay at 600 feet or less.

Your tracks are best for your N/A cars...while ours are best for our S/C cars(especially with the cooler weather)...there will be a N/A E63 going to US41 and you will see his times posted after and then you can judge if you all want to meet out here.

I have a concern regarding having MBUSA involved in this event. Is there a possibility that someone could show up and write down VINs? I would hate for us to be voided in the system. If we show up running 11's, wont they be just a little suspicious? Just my .02!
BTW-don't really care where we go, as long as there are GOOD PEOPLE, GOOD FOOD & PRETTY WOMEN!
Let's cease the bickering.

I did not ask you to do that
