I lost to an evo =[
Yup, rolling @ 60 or so, first time he went before I was ready, when his car went, you could see flame pops out of the ehuast and like ambers (probably not a good sign).
2nd time it was fair start and he slowly pulled like 3 inches a shift, he got like a foot and a half out in front of me, but thats me losing =[ I was ready and everything.
I had to take the next exit, but I don't think I could have done better.
I wonder how much he had done to that car...
[Edit: my car is due for 10k service...(150miles ago) not sure this makes that much diffrence, does it?]

Have you removed your charcoal filters yet? If you are loosing by a few inches, it might actually make the difference. Also, it never makes sense to compare stock with modified. If you put on some long tube headers, a low boost supercharger and got a tune, you'd kill him.

20+ to list......
I know how nasty the EVO's are, because I own one. A lightly modified one can hang with a stock E63 no problem, a complete worked over however, can probably smoke any 65 AMG.

Funny thing is tonight I just torched an Evo. I guess you never know what your getting when you race an evo 300hp-700hp? never know thats why they are deadly. I was not going 60mph though I was only doing 25mph at the start

Race him in a mile. Nasty cars once they make power. That flame you saw....NORMAL for that car. As far as Dollar per Horspower ratio, you cant beat an EVO. 6 grand will get you 500 whp without a sweat.

yup.. alot of fast evos around here.. but the hp range, you should be able to tell by the sound of the exhaust, i dont mind racing any cars on the road, even a fast honda civic.. but once i think they got some power under the hood, i stay away to keep from getting embarrased,,,,

Did you see the show on Speed Channel "Pass Time" about drag racing? An Evo supposedly running 30lbs of boost went like 3 inches, then broke at the starting line.

I raced an STI when my E55 was stock and I had to let off on the throttle so that I would not run into him. I know the STI was stock, I don't know if I would have had the same problem if it had been modded.

must have been modded, i raced a brand new one with my 06 55, a little jump from start but that's it....it was all over from about 30-40 and then bus lengths after then E55 is a lot faster stock for stock....and this just happened about a month ago too...
