2010 E550.. Gone but never forgotton - E63 AMG..
Would you recommend these tires ?

Toyo Proxes T1R

I want to replace my Conti3 tires.

I found good prices for the Toyo T1R on Treadepot.com
You can find great prices for tires on that site. Have any of you ever used
the T1Rs ? They look like a good buy.

Thanks for the input

Careful. Check the Toyo website, I believe that these are R compound tires which would not last very long if exposed to temps of lower than 40 degrees. NYC winters are pretty cold. If the car is parked outside overnight, these tires may not be a great idea.

+1...I have them on my car now but I live in Florida. Good tire, but if you want serious traction you need drag radials.

I am currently running the SP3's as well. My car came with the SP2's and after reading a lot of reviews on the SP3 I thought this would be a nice modest upgrade in tire for year round. I have driven about 4k on them so far and weould have to say....I HATE THEM! Not sure if my SP2's had better contact, but think I can say....I HATE THEM BOTH!!!
I am currently trying to burn through these tires and am looking at trying to find something better for the year round. Living in NVA temps can fluctuate. In the past I was very happy with the Mich PS2's. Would you all suggest going back to sucha tire for my e63 or should I be looking at something else.
Any good tire suggestions for these cars ?

These are not R compound tires, that is the RA1. That aside, they are great tires, I bought a set for my E55 and have had them on several M cars. I followed the lead of others and went from 265's to 275's in the rear.

Hey,

I have Toyo T1r's on my G35, and I'm on my second set of these.

They are a geat tire, and last much longer than the Bridgestone REO5OA's the car came with.

Try call or e-mail this company, and say you are a member on G35driver, they usually have the best prices I can find.

Go for it if you can get them in the sizes you need.

Why not the PS2s, they are one of the best gripping street tires out there

Got em too... but not a "street racer" so can't comment on them as far as "handling" goes... but they seem to be wearing well, were reasonable on cost, and are seriously quiet compared to the worn (sh*tty) Conti's on there before.

I was also considering the T1-R's for my S65. I found the best prices at onlinetires.com. I just compared prices from onlinetires.com to treadepot.com, and found onlinetires to be $118 cheaper for all four tires. I cannot vouch for them, cause I never purchased from them, but they do have the cheapest prices I have seen. Check it out.

I replaced the contis on my clk with t1rs. Much better in the rain, handles better in the dry and quieter in all conditions. Still a pretty soft tire, expect 12-15k miles per set (or less)

Sevas are very nice looking wheels, but they are known to crack.

Do a search on google for Sevas cracking, I know there are a few people who have had bad luck with Sevas wheels.

i was told those will not fit on an E63. u need to get the Sevas Forged (custom fit) in order to clear the calipers on an E63.
