I already have all of them. Larger heat exchanger/IC pump/Thermostat

humidity?

here in cali I have driven the whole family on trips with 90 degree weather.. and power is always there.

a few things to try....

remove your engine cover ( i tend to think it creates less heat on the Kompressor)

tire pressure is correct...

air hoses are nicely placed and getting outside air (mis aligned hoses will kill power)

air filters are fitted properly

and finally I removed the plastic cover on the air vents under the hood. It has 4 screws and some clips. The air vents by the wiper blades.

I took this trick from another board member. Here is So Cal we don't get that much rain.. in FL well you will have to make sure you tape any electrical components next to the throttle body.

So far the few times it has rained.. I've check for water on the kompressor.. and none found. The vents are actually located farther away from the engine.

The results.. heat is released during driving and after shutting the car down.

just a few ideas.

The other would be separating the heat exchanger for the engine coolant.

and phenolic spacers.

Over 90 with the humidity is rough down there bro.

She's gonna run sluggish in the hot weather for sure.

Do you have the system separated?? (intercooler from main engine circuit)

Just making sure.

topgun32- Thanks for the tips. Everything looks in place and enigne cover is already off. It is very humid here to. I dont think I have the HE seperated from the engine coolant ill have to look into that. The car was running alot better a few weeks ago when we had weather in the 70's but the temps now are just robbing power.

If you don't have the little coolant reservoir somewhere, most likely it is still connected to main coolant.

Be good to someday separate the systems if that is the case.

Is there a DIY for this or any simple instructions so I can bring it to my mechanic.

Jackpro1,

I disagree. Keeping IATs cool AND the engine cool are both important in warm temperatures. I got a 40-50F degree drop in IAT (on the dyno) and still have only 1 circuit - but I have the biggest core on the market - 29x6x3 (I believe Hamann has the same one). I did that to cool IAT but also to keep everything cool, block, blower, etc.

Whenever I've built forced induction cars, I've always helped with cooling of intake air AND coolant, not just one or the other.

actually 2003 can have a 7" core by 2.5" deep and about 30".. made Code3.

I don't have issues with heat soak.. no matter how hard I push.

separating the system will just reduce IAT's a bit more.. but the Phenolic spacers are key ingredient.

For now just having a biggger HE is enough. and really nothing you can do about humidity and heat.

Other than drive a car with out supercharger.

Humm...interesting. Make sense.
I am so tempted to split my circuits... How about upgrade the oil cooling?
