ASP shipped me my new pulley but when all I got was a empty box that had been torn open and marked with a red X. I didnt accept the package. I dont know what happened. Ill have to wait till Monday for answers from ASP. Just wanted to share this.

Must admit, the box I got from ASP was pretty beatup and poorly packed. Probably broke open during shipping.

Not sure what happens now. Guarantee he didn't insure with the newspaper packing he does.

Keep us informed.

That sucks bro. When you do get another one make sure you inspect it.

Mercedes has a procedure for checking the radial run-out of a pulley/Balancer.

I will post it below in light of all the recent pulley issues, good luck.

what shipping company did they use? UPS is horrible in handling packages, and if ASP didn't insure the package, it's only covered for $100. but it should be all good, you refused it so now it's up to the shipping company and ASP to resolve the issue. hope they do it in a timely manner for you.

Both FedEx and UPS have had problems with employees ripping open packages and stealing items. There is a surveillance video of a FedEx loading dock worker doing this in the back of a truck. Had had stacked several boxes in front of him to partially conceal himself and when a box came down the conveyor that looked valuable, he'd drop it on the floor and tear it open with his feet. Expensive auto parts that can easily be sold on Ebay are probably a tempting target.

Thieves should be strung up by the short-and-curlies.
