CLK 63 Black Series, 2009 S550, 2011 Range Rover Supercharged, BMW F800 GS Anniv Edition
Looked more to me like he didn't really save it on the second one but his reaction was more like he was just pissed he lost some time.
That car is damn fast - amazing time...what a track, I never get tired of seeing cars run there.

Like everyone else here i love german cars but man is it great to see america put a time like that out on the ring. First the CTS-V kicks everyone with is sub 8 min lap time and now the ZR-1 comes in and smacks everyone else around a little. I want to see the GT2, the Nismo GT-R and the ZR-1 fight it out.
Having watched the american car makers mess around and build total junk for so long that made me really smile. I dont want to think of american cars as second rate and with this new crop of GM products I think we all need to stand back and respect our own nations progress.
Very Nice work GM.

That was one of the coolest 7:26.4 of my life. 179mph at the top and 52mph at the bottom (when I noticed). The 52 was in a hairpin turn!
Excellent driving on a tough track. Some minor mistakes that I'd bet would drop him to 7:24 on a perfect run. Maybe even 7:23.
I admit I am completely biased as I also drive a 2008 Corvette convertible (436HP). I also owned an 07, which was almost identical, but 400hp and the 08 improved the steering.
Much improved with the 08. Nice fit and finish, better than you'd expect. Capable of amazing speeds with almost no effort.
I absolutely love mine. Perfect compliment to an E55 wagon.

I gotta make a run on that track someday...although I would have to run it for about a week straight to learn it, beofe pushing 100% on the entire track. I'm a racer and can pick up tracks quite quickly, but every time I see an in-car vid of the ring I am amazed. So many blind corners, your pulling 140mph and crest a hill and wham BRAKE TIME!

looks like he didn't go for more on that long straight as well... he was just cruzing along at 175 MPH for a while....

For a good side by side comparison ...
GTR vs ZR1 ..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZ-CNFpPCnk
Up to 1st carousel ZR1 is about 5 seconds clear, maintains same lead to second carousel and has pulled into the "pit" area when GTR is still exiting last right hander.
Both cars are incredibly impressive... and kudos to the ZR1
Congrats!!!
