Not really ...Once I decided the car was a lifer, I decided to make it a project car...from the drivetrain, interior, and exterior. I think I'll always tinker with the car to some extent...(hey Victor/Vadim...twin turbo...slr type intercooler...upgraded supercharger......I'm game...).
Oh...I'll have other cars in the meantime...I still see a P-car TT in my future or a SL65, but if you can afford it everyone should have a project car(s). It's fun sharing what can and can't be done (engine/drivetrain/etc...) or what looks hot or looks like ****...you just go back to the drawing board.

Updated pics...
The pic is full shot of early stage of the trunk. The rear part of the sub enclosure that sits under the rear deck will have a rear back of plexiglass. The side panels just behind the amp racks will be molded to flow with the angle of the amp racks. The very rear panel with the opening will be plexiglass with AMG laser cut into it with blue back light...
The spare tire well will house the Audio Control processor, CTEK battery charger, tool kit, first aid kit, emergency flares, high intensity flashlight, and fire extinguisher.
A side view of the enclosure...then the underside of the enclosure...then the view from inside showing the "subwoofer sleeve" that will tie in the top of the enclosure to the bottom of the rear deck. The rear head rests will be fully functional.
A view of the custom front speaker baffles..the angle of the Focal speaker can be adjusted for best sound quality...
Just another look at the front grill...the only thing missing are what used to be the front slats that were chrome which also were converted to CF look.
The rest of the body CF look trim and the interior piano black wood trim are in primer and should be done this weekend. Most of the prefitting of panels will be done this weekend with the custom wiring starting next week (which my installer says will look sweet even though no one will see it). The hood will be taken off next week for repainting with OEM nano paint (the stone chips are annoying)...with Venture/Clearbra combo being done 3-4 weeks after painted pieces cure.

This setup is actually lighter than what I had when I ran 12.03 with the K2 late last year...it actually should help me put more weight on the rear wheels for better traction !

GODAMN IT MAN. I hate you. I have the US spec comand and I hate it. Why? B/c I came from a full audio show car. The sound I'm getting now if terrible. But I don't wanna mess the looks of the dash with an aftermarket unit. Can you show me pics of before it was all taken apart? MAybe I can have a maple birdseye wood piece made to fit around an aftermarket double din and it won't look so bad...

YO Godfather...It can be done...Just get an installer that is good with a jig and see if someone in your area is proficient at the water transfer process.
Here is a company that does it and explains the process...I use someone local.

BEAUTIFUL! For some reason I enjoy the 'during' photos more than the finished product pics. Something incredibly cool about seeing the complete tear-down and what goes into the polished complete product.
Post as many in process pic as you can, love it! Damn, I wish I could find someone in the SF Bay Area who did such work...

It should look sweet with a combination of black leather/alacantra with contrasting stitching. I'll be taking pics of the wiring...my installer and his wiring guy are taking the extra time to make that even look good even though it isn't going to be really seen.
We also decided to replace the OEM battery...with a Shuriken battery with 120 AMP hours and 2600 cranking amps.

Oh that's hydro transfer? DAmn it came out good! I guess I could use the same place that did yours. I've seen this stuff before, but didn't think the wood style would come out this good!
How much is your shop charging you for this? Did they give you an ETA? Gonna paint all the fiberglass or suede it up?

Thanks guys...more pics to come...the exterior trim pieces are done and delivery should be next week...the hood is getting removed tomorrow for repainting.
It's taking longer than expected but the time in planning and prep work to get things just right can be tedious. Thank God Jason (installer/owner) loves what he does and puts up with my constant questions...
