Service B coming up
I have 500 miles to go until service B on my E63. Anyone know what this entails and what the stealership will charge? If it's just an oil change I just might take it to my ETD down the street based solely on convenience since the stealership is kind of out of the way.

I'm currently 200 miles past my Service B and I have yet to get it done. I'd like to know about this as well. My stealership quoted me like 450-500 bucks for this.
Any information would be great.

Please STFF. The info on how to access the service menu and how to interpret it has been posted several times though posts/links. You might even want to check the regular W211 forum.

Look at your maintenance manual. It will tell you what needs to bo done. No one can say for sure what "B" is because it just means the items the FSS think needs to be done will take 2 hrs. C is 3hrs, D is 4hrs, etc.
I got my E in Oct 2007. My A service and B service have gone by and the only thing that had to be actually done was to change the oil. Everything other item is check this and check that. I did the last oil change myself and reset the FSS.
If you go into the FSS it will tell you which items from you maintenance book it thinks needs to be done.

service b
i dont remember for sure but i think it cost me 350-450 every time i went in to the stealership. i know all they do is change the oil but i went to the dealership for the service because i wanted them to check out my brakes as well. I also had a low oil light that would come out every so often, and a ticking sound from my engine (which i was told was normal?) that i wanted to be checked out. If your not having any problems with your car, the dealership will definetly not be worth it, but if your concerned with other minor issues, $450 sounds reasonable to me.
