For those who have lowered via star....

Ride quality is a bit stiffer which is a result of less suspension travel. Upside is the car's center of gravity has been lowered and there's definitely an improvement in handling overall.
In my opinion, the best way to lower the car is through STAR.

BUT...once you start the car...its raises up a tad bit...
Here is the car sitting on 20's with the star drop...(if you care)

+1. I also upgraded to 19" wheels which made it even more firm. You will feel those bumps on the rode more. I believe upgrading to the 19s made it harsher than just the drop.

I'm sure you have noticed this but if you have the car sit overnight...the car actually slams to the ground...This is my car that I left overnight for a show...rollin on 19's and with the star drop...

Really? It's always been that way for me. When I garage the car at night and come back the next mornin, the car has dropped a lil more...but as soon as I turn on the car, it raises back up a very minimal amount. I put quite a bit of miles on the car after the star drop and haven't had a problem yet...knock on wood...
Thanks fer the heads up...I'm going to shoot some emails here and there and find out...![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

If star can lower ride, take out bells and kick fans on early; then can you also tune with it too? Can it be used as a tuning tool?

Yes it is normal. It only happens on even ground, otherwise it will maintain the setting it was left in.

'12 Mustang 5.0, '89 Supra Turbo, C55,
I drive my E500 (airmatic) only once/twice a week. For the first time, I noticed her rising after start up last week. IIRC, I think I left her in SPORT 2 mode after shut down for the very first time.
Somebody above posted if left in SPORT 2, the car will drop a little after shut down. Based on my observation and the posts above, either I have a failing suspension,

I think I'll leave her in normal mode, and see if the same thing happens. If she does not rise in normal mode after shut down, then the poster who brought up the SPORT 2 mode is right on the money! I hope he is!! I'd hate to have this problem with only 33K!
