I wonder how many runs you get on that motor/drivetrain before it grenades? And what kinda power is that 4 putting out, and what does it cost to build a motor/tranny like that on an evo?

David Buschur is a hard worker and builds great EVO motors.
I have a 2005 EVO MR as my track-day car with his stage 3 head & 2.3 stroker with a GT3071 turbo for road racing.

I drive it to the track, race all day and drive it home all on 93 octane.
David's to EVO's, what Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins was to Chevrolet's.

If we could just get him interested in making AMG's fly.

If the AMS you are talking about is a two door small black car I say I seen him at Byron Dragway in IL last weekend doing 8s at 166mph on 2 passes!

Yeah, one of these suckers beat my Vette in a street race. They range from 13 sec - 8 sec....you never know what you'll run into.

If you got a little more dough though, you can also get a Porsche, Vette, or Viper to run 9's with full interior and daily driver characteristics.

I read this comment twice in the thread with a puzzled look on my face. I was thinking "AMS" from this site who made the lightweight crank pullies for the M113's.

That car must be a blast to drive around town. Anyone know the power it puts down?

I don't own a NA V8 so "AMS" as you think of it isn't what I think it is especially since the small black car I am talking about had "AMS" on its side which I thought meant something else besides a pulley. He may of meant this...

http://www.amsperformance.com/

Also I seriously doubt an ams pulley for a NA V8 could get a car in the 8s especially a Benz.

I wanted to give you props because most people who those vids refer to would take it the wrong way thus starting a flame war but you my friend showed your intelligence in understanding in the fact that there is always someone faster and this scenario is very limited cause its not easy to take out a C6 ZO6 in stock and the outcome could be different.

Awesome car with a serious attitude! Much respect to the tuner. Not easy to go that fast in ANY car.

At the end of the day though, it's still a 500 HP beer can.
