Pics: Composite v Stock rotors (P30 C63) and 63 Intake Manifold

A stock C63 rotor:

P30 C63 Composite (Al hub) rotor:

Side by side:

Bottom of 63 Intake Manifold:

Close-up of 63 Intake Manifold Runner:

Honestly I can't feel any difference in the P30 rotors (same pads and only the front rotors are different) v the stockers. Maybe I would during back to back sessions while open tracking...
The intake manifold has very good casting quality overall. As you can see from the pics the intake is part composite, part Aluminum. We'll beging toying around with this one by the end of the week.

Thanks
Andy

Nice!! I can't believe the C63 doesn't have cross drilled composites to start with?? Anyhow, i looked into those 030 rotors and they are only about 5lbs (if that) lighter than the oem ones and I don't know about heat. I went with the EVOSport ones, but am having hardware issues. Makes me want a 1 piece setup again.

I was surprised there wasn't more weight savings myself, still I'll take what I can get. Heat dissapation has to be better as well.

By the way, the E63 P30 package does NOT include any brake upgrade. The brakes on a regular E63 are identical to one with the P30 package. However, it still doesn't explain the excessive warping

i thought the difference was the same as shown above , the p30 front rotors are 2 piece with the aluminum hats and the reg e63 brakes were one piece no ???

How warmed up did you get the ceramics when braking? You gotta put alot of heat through them to notice any difference, definitely some track driving would show a whole worlds difference.

Definitely not that much, just the drive home from the dealership (~15 miles). The hubs are aluminum with steel rotors btw, they aren't actually ceramic.

Thanks
Andy

Seems aluminum hubs would be more prone to warping than iron. With little weight savings this upgrade is questionable. The rotor surface doesn't appear to be ceramic.
