Thread for those Banned by MHP
As far as the TCU tunes, are they similar in features to the 7g ones? Any chance of mating it up with a slight hardware upgrade? Like a valve job for snappier shifts?
By asap, you mean anyday? Sweet!!
Yes, we change more variables (because we have access to more) than other tuners.
No idea what 7g offers, but we offer a $ back guarantee that we'll make you more power and net you better overall refinement (part and WOT throttle) than anyone else. We can tune your TCU for a built trans with valve body mod NP.
Thanks
Andy

Tuning the TCU is where my main interest is and I like that you can tune based on mods. My next step is to identify who to do the hardware mods. Is it as simple as communicating those specs to you and sending in the TCU?
Can't wait for some data on the 55s. Glad you are enjoying your C63.

Thanks, loving the car. I put a stock ECU back in it today to redyno (last time we didn't have a torque figure) in the next few days, feels like a pig lol. Then v2 testing on Friday at Norwalk.
ballpark figure What ET's do you predict for your 65's and let's not forget MPH...
Just interested in knowing these figures no pun intended just car talk....
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Kleemann: Price $4,500
RENNtech: Price $5,800 (W215)
VRP Tuning: Price $2,995
Powerchip: Price $2,495
Since this is in the W211 section, I will subsequently post the 55 and 63 pricing and dynos for each application.
Here is one of the best dyno charts from an S65 (Roger Ver's) running RENNtech ECU/TCU and I believe the C/F airboxes:
Third gear dyno max power is 610.83hp. If you correlated speed to rpm's it would be peaking at about 3,600 rpm and putting down 750+rwtq.

TQ = (HP X 5252)/RPM
Let's see what the graph gives us...the VRP and RENNtech ones not the mythical MHP one... give hp over speed. Well, guess what.. VRP used an SL65...it has the same engine, same transmission, same gear ratios as the CL65 I drive. I was able to go out and use the same gear that the dyno was done in and mark the speeds on my speedometer and through my G-tech pro (which measures the tach signal as calibrated through my lighter) and compare the relative RPM at such speed. From this information, I was able to plot the relative RPMs against the dyno information. I then was able to use the above formula to calculate an estimated torque figure. Now if you read what I said.. I said "interpolate"...I have attached the wikipedia definition for "interpolation". If you read it, you will see that it is not exactly precise... but it will give you a good enough picture...especially when you can compare the results against a stock baseline dyno ...which was also provided.

Andy...talk about something for nothing... I am sorry...no more free lessons for you. If you want anymore of an "education" from me I will have to start charging you ($500/hr). Sorry...
