from an E-class AMg to an X5? thats quite a switch. very different vehicles. But both very nice. I recently got a RRS and strongly considered the X5. Wnet with the RRS in the end to compliment the E55.
Congrats! love the X5 as well

Thanx for the repply guys.. very kind.. i will miss this webpage i can assure you, after many hours/week dedicated to this page!...
anyways, yea it was a E320, with the facelift!.... i loved the car, the good thing is that i sold it to my brother so i will see it many times more...
The reason i sold was because remember i posted about bulletproofing the E, well i decided to get this X5 for bulletproofing instead, i will post pics of the finish product in about 2-3 months if you guys want...

The new X5 is an Excellent vehicle very safe. Thats why I bought one for my wife. You are going to like it alot. By the way didnt you know that you can get almost all BMW models from the factory with a security package which makes the car bullet proof? Its like a 10k or 15k option. They dont advertise it but if you ask it can be specially ordered. I think the only bimmers you cant get the security package with is the 3 and Z series. The X5 should have it the 7 and 5 series are definately available with it. I found out about this about 10 years ago. If you didnt get the X5 yet ask if you can get that option

Than you for the comments! I was aware actually, only i dont think its that cheap... also i think that when you order it from factory (X5 are build in the US) they send it down to a bullet proof enterprise in Mexico...
Taking that into consideration, 2 of the 6 bullet proof enterprises down here in my country are really good ones ISO, etc etc.. and expensive (a Level 3 costs $27k to $33k, A level 5 costs around $45k)... but they are top of the line... also having the vehicle worked on locally is an advantage, since you can choose materials (kevlar, tuaron, ariston, steel) and various additions (pepper spray, stobe lights, voice speakers, etc). When the vehicle is finished, its really hard to tell if its armored or not, and thats good...
anyways, thanx for the coments guys, i will post some pics when the work is done! i really dont want to leave this forum...

You mean Arcadia, Palatka, Daytona, Holly Hill and Ormond Beach? Hell, there aint nuttin there BUT the Newly Wed and the nearly dead
As to the BMW M 5 , I would've sprung for the ML 63 instead and stayed in the AMG Family. The wheels on the 09 63 are gorgeous. BUT, that's just me!!

X5 3L Turbo Diesel.. is what I'm waiting for..
I like the V8 and I'll still consider one.
Wife likes the X5, but the interior is not as nice as the GL.
still thinking and waiting..
Also the new 3L Turbo Diesel from the Q7 will be nice as well..

than a X5. I had one, for 4 months, doesn't offer anymore than a normal sedan.

Ive had 3 X5s. two 4.4 and one 4.8is. One of my favorite cars ever. Does everything very well. Not perfect but great vehicle. Thats coming from someone that owns an E55amg. When you get into this class of cars for example benz bmw audi. Its a matter of taste. Not really which is better. They are all good. Can you really say an Eclass is better than a 5series. You may like one better than the other but seriously they are so closely matched you cant say one is distinctly better than another.
