Slight Vibration during Cold Start...
I'm getting a slight vibration from the car during cold starts...this happens when the car is idling when I first fire it up...once the car warms up the vibration is gone
I searched and some people say its normal but there weren't many threads on it so I wanted to see if others have been getting this vibration??

me too
I have been experiencing it since it got cold in the bay, it vibrates for a couple of seconds and then stops. I would call it more of a knocking sound

Normal...mine increases the idle speed after cold start and has a slight vibration until it warms a bit and then it purrs like a kitty. I am no Mercedes tuner but my guess is that this is in their engine map to manipulate emissions on cold starts.
The SBC is the electronic braking system used on our cars. The main SBC module is in the passenger side front of the engine bay. I don't see how that could cause the vibration though.

Conclusion. new g/box and stress plate. Get your g/box checked for oil contamination.

Take my advice check the oil, you may get away with oil change but believe
me your problem is g/box, torque converter, or stress plate.

This is my first winter with my E55 and I am happy to see that it is not a problem. I was worried b/c thses engines are so smooth at idle.... Like everyone else it goes away after some warm up.
I think it is like any car, don't judge it untill it has warmed up.

Hi guys I have a w220 and going through the same problem however mine doesn't stop vibrating until it hits about 90 degree c. However this is my first time driving through snow and my engine temperature only reaches 80degreec
I was wondering if that's a normal temperature for winter? Because since its not heater up (90c) it's causing vibration while I'm on te highway
And I've changed all mounts and plugs any suggestions ? Or idea what could be the problem
Thanks
